Chapter 440 - Chapter 440: Master Celestial Dragon, Are You Still Short of That Little Money? Sell It at a Higher Price!

In the world of One Piece, where social status determined one's worth, luxury products had become symbols of power. Yet, Olivia couldn't help but wonder why Luffy was laughing so foolishly at the mere mention of computer sales.

She furrowed her brows and replied matter-of-factly, "As for the cost, each computer requires at least 150,000 to produce since we use the highest-end components available.

Since the target market is primarily the high-end sector, I've set the selling price at around 1 million per unit."

The moment the words left her mouth, Luffy's reaction was instantaneous.

"One million?!"

His loud exclamation startled Olivia, who assumed he thought the price was too steep. Just as she was about to explain her pricing strategy, Luffy slammed the document onto the table and scowled at her.

"You're practically giving it away! That price is robbery—against yourself!"

"Huh?"

Olivia, Gion, and the others were completely dumbfounded.

While one million might not seem like much to them, for ordinary people, it represented years—if not decades—of savings. The fact that Luffy called this "cheap" made absolutely no sense to them.

But Luffy wasn't done yet.

Tapping his fingers against the table rhythmically, he leaned forward, his gaze sharp.

"Let me ask you something—is 1 million a lot for you?"

Olivia blinked, hesitating for a moment before answering honestly.

"Not really."

"Exactly," Luffy nodded in satisfaction. "You're just a nouveau riche, so you don't think 1 million is much.

"But now imagine the Celestial Dragons, those so-called 'masters' who have been hoarding wealth for 800 years. To them, that amount is nothing—not even pocket change."

At this point, Luffy genuinely couldn't understand how Olivia had built such a successful business when she failed to grasp such a simple truth.

"When we were first introducing computers to the world, sure, I didn't have any crazy expectations.

"But now? With Dr. Vegapunk improving our technology and perfecting the formation diagrams, things are different.

"It's time for Olive Industries to establish a proper business model—one that doesn't involve us selling ourselves short!"

The girls stared at Luffy in confusion, their expressions blank.

Seeing that his point wasn't getting through, Luffy sighed and decided to take a different approach.

"Fine, let me put it this way."

Turning to Alpha, who was currently curled up on the couch, hugging a pillow nervously, Luffy posed a question.

"Alpha, imagine you're a noble. There are two items with identical functions, but one costs 30,000, and the other costs 300,000. Which one do you buy?"

Alpha blinked, then gave it some serious thought before responding.

"Definitely the 300,000 one."

"Why?"

"Well…" She hesitated before stating the obvious. "Because I'm a noble. Nobles are supposed to buy the most expensive things, right?"

Luffy grinned.

"Exactly!"

Now shifting his gaze to Olivia and the others, he smirked and said, "You see? Even an government agent like Alpha understands this.

And if even low-level nobles think this way, imagine the Celestial Dragons, who are so obsessed with their superiority that they can't even breathe the same air as commoners!

Do you really think they'd ever take home a 1-million product and show it off to their fellow Celestial Dragons?

They'd be embarrassed!"

Luffy let out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness he had been here today.

If he hadn't, this silly woman would have sold computers for a measly 1 million each, and they would have lost a ridiculous amount of money.

He straightened up and announced firmly, "Starting today, I want you to classify computers into six tiers."

He raised a finger.

"Tier One: The most basic, entry-level model. Barely usable. This will be priced lower than what we currently sell."

Another finger.

"Tier Two: The standard model we've been selling, staying at the same price."

Three fingers.

"Tier Three: Slightly higher-end. Designed for the low-to-mid-range market, priced between 800,000 to 1 million. This will attract wealthy families and small business owners."

Four fingers.

"Tier Four: High-end computers. Minimum price? 2 million. Target audience? Rich merchants and minor nobles."

Five fingers.

"Tier Five: Very high-end models, exclusively for the nobility. The minimum price? 5 million.

"And, to purchase it, the buyer must present an official noble certificate issued by a World Government member nation."

Finally, Luffy lifted his sixth finger and smirked.

"Tier Six: The Ultra-Luxury VIP Celestial Edition, exclusively for the Celestial Dragons.

"The name alone will be synonymous with absolute prestige. If you can't afford to drop at least tens of millions—if not hundreds of millions, don't even think about it."

The more Luffy spoke, the more exaggerated the girls' expressions became.

A computer with six different classifications?!

What was he trying to do—start a revolution in the luxury market?!

But Luffy wasn't finished yet.

"Of course, hardware isn't the main selling point." He waved his hand dismissively.

"The real value comes from the brand, the prestige, and the social status these machines represent."

The room fell dead silent.

Olivia, Hiyori, and the others exchanged glances.

Then, in perfect synchronization, they blurted out:

"Understand? We don't understand anything!"

Even Olivia, a seasoned businesswoman, and Hiyori, a former noble, looked completely lost.

Luffy sighed, rubbing his temples.

"Alright, let me make it even simpler for you."

He stood up from behind the desk, walked over to Olivia, and gently lifted her chin with one finger.

"As a Celestial Dragon, would you ever use the same fourth or fifth-tier junk that ordinary nobles buy?"

"Of course not!"

Luffy grinned.

"Exactly. That's why they'll pay any amount to prove they're superior."
