Jimmy got out of the car, walked to the riverbank, and turned his head to look at Davis inside the car. Davis had been very quiet throughout the journey and showed no intentions of escaping.
Although Jimmy had never been particularly interested in dealing with drug traffickers—disposing of them casually was common—Davis was a high-ranking officer, and it seemed wasteful to simply kill him off.
Jimmy took out an unregistered phone and dialed Lambert.
Despite it being midnight, Lambert answered the phone quickly, "Who is this?"
Jimmy: "Do you have a secure line?"
Lambert recognized Jimmy's voice, "I'll get back to you."
A few minutes later, a call came in, "You can talk now."
Jimmy: "I've captured Azte's man in charge of Houston. The goods from Dallas were also supplied by him. I've obtained the information I needed. Do you want this guy?"
Lambert was silent for a while, "Where is he?"
Jimmy: "In his car, out in the wild."
Lambert: "What are your thoughts?"
