Krystal eyes burned with urgency as she stared at Lilith. "You need to be careful…very careful. Your father isn't just rich or cruel. He's dangerous, Lilith. He has men, money, and no conscience. And now that he knows you're his daughter… I'm afraid he'll try to get rid of you. That attack today? It might have been him."
She leaned back against the pillow, exhausted. "I know this is a lot… but please, promise me you'll stay alert. Don't trust anyone easily. Even now, I don't know who around you might be working for him."
But Lilith didn't give her a promise.
She just stared at her for a few seconds, then turned toward the window.
"I'll come when you're discharged," she said simply.
Then she walked out, her heels clicking softly against the hospital floor, not once looking back.
