Soft morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, welcoming brightness inside the room. Olivia stirred, a low moan escaping her lips as she stretched lazily, her limbs aching with a dull soreness. Her eyes fluttered open, blinking rapidly against the brightness that filled the room.
"Mm… God, my head fucking aches," she muttered, her voice raspy and low.
Just like that, memories of the previous night crashed into her mind. Her chest tightened. She turned to the other side of the bed, reaching out, but her hand met only emptiness. Dylan was gone.
Her breath hitched.
She remembered the look in his eyes when she had told him Philip kissed her. He nearly died out of rage.
