The monsters easily breached their defenses.
The good news was that most of the personnel had already been evacuated.

"Jonathan, how are things on your end? Are the ships ready?"
Lune asked his busy old partner.
"No problem, I just checked, almost everyone has been evacuated, and the ships are in position. Squads five and six won't last much longer, Lune, you go first, leave the rest to me,"
Jonathan said, pointing at the sail ship that had already weighed anchor at the dock.
The area previously destroyed by the monster had been cleared.
Lune glanced toward the harbor, about to say something, when his eyes suddenly widened in shock.
