Chapter 236 - Chapter 236 : Hikari's Anger!!

Senju Hayashi, Senju Hikari!

These two siblings possess a Kekkei Genkai similar to the First Hokage.

Even if they can't reach the First Hokage's level of dominance in the ninja world, if they could achieve half of his strength, they would ensure Konoha's prosperity for decades!

No one would dare to challenge Konoha again!

These siblings would become a powerful weapon for Konoha, guaranteeing peace for many years.

That's why Kakashi made the request to bring the siblings back to Konoha for training, so they could finally belong to the village.

"Haha, bring these siblings to Konoha?" Genya seemed to have heard an incredibly funny joke.

Even Uchiha Shin, standing beside him, looked at Kakashi with a smile, as if mocking Kakashi's ignorance.

"Genya… What do you mean by that?"

Kakashi frowned, looking at Genya. He had expected Genya to refuse, but he never expected him to laugh so recklessly.

That smile made him uncomfortable and uneasy!

"No special meaning!"

After laughing, Genya finally looked at Kakashi seriously and said, speaking slowly, "You can ask Hikari about this. As long as Hikari agrees to follow the village, I won't say anything!"

"Is that true?" Kakashi seemed to see a glimmer of hope. After all, Hikari was just a child. If he explained things logically, there was a good chance Hikari would understand the importance of it!

Besides, Konoha would give him the best training!

"Of course it's true. But I have one condition for you." When Genya nodded, he also made a request to Kakashi.

"As long as you agree to this condition, I won't interfere with whatever you and Hikari decide to do!"

"What condition?" Kakashi looked at Genya and asked. He had a feeling that Genya's request was not simple.

"It's simple. Whether Hikari follows you or not, I still need to carve out the Wood Release training techniques and pass them on to the two siblings!"

Genya had been struggling with the Wood Release techniques for Hikari and Hayashi. When he saw Kakashi, he thought of this trade.

He believed Kakashi would agree!

"Alright, but I have one condition. If they learn the jutsu, they cannot harm any Konoha ninja!"

Kakashi said, watching Genya warily. He was serious about the negotiation. Wood Release techniques were rare, and even if Genya didn't suggest it, Kakashi would still take the jutsu from Konoha and let Hikari and Hayashi learn it!

It was worth securing an opportunity to bring Hikari closer to Konoha!

Genya didn't respond but instead turned his gaze to Hikari, signaling him to answer Kakashi's question.

Kakashi also focused on Hikari: "As long as they don't attack me or Genya-sama, I won't touch them!"

Hikari's words were clear. She was openly taking sides, essentially declaring her unwavering support for Genya.

Kakashi, if he was smart, would just hand over the Wood Release techniques. If not, it didn't matter either!

"Hikari, don't you really consider coming back to Konoha?" Kakashi looked at him seriously. "With your talent, combined with Konoha's support, you could become a renowned ninja in the world!"

"Kakashi, let me ask you, am I not in Konoha right now?" Hikari scoffed at Kakashi's words.

"Support? Ha! Do you remember when my sibling and I were just civilians? Did the village ever care about us? Besides, I'm in the Uchiha clan now. Isn't that already part of Konoha?"

"That's different," Kakashi responded, looking at Hikari's serious face.

"You're in the Uchiha clan now. But if you join Konoha, you could join the Anbu and protect the village!"

"Your ancestors were the founders of Konoha, and you should carry on the Will of Fire, for Konoha's sake."

"Enough! What nonsense about the Will of Fire? Isn't the Uchiha clan part of Konoha?" Hikari listened to Kakashi's rambling and couldn't hold back her anger.

"Then what is your Konoha? The village that ignored us when my brother and I were wandering the streets? Why didn't anyone care when my brother was beaten senseless by the Sarutobi Police Force? Heh… You say we should inherit the Will of Fire because we're descendants of the First Hokage? But before all that, did anyone in your so-called village care about us?"

"If it weren't for Genya-sama helping us that day, my brother and I might've already fallen under the oppression and humiliation of the Sarutobi Police Force!"

"Without Genya-sama, we would have died long ago, do you understand? Long ago!"

"You want me to join the Anbu? To betray Genya-sama and serve Sarutobi Hiruzen? Does he even deserve that?"

The more Hikari spoke, the more agitated she became, especially when mentioning how her brother was bullied by Sarutobi Eisuke.

The helpless pain she felt—it was only thanks to Genya that they didn't die back then. Without him, they wouldn't have reached their current achievements.

Since Genya began training them, Hikari had set a goal in her heart—to make the Sarutobi Police Force, who had humiliated her brother, pay for their actions.

Kakashi was left speechless for a moment. He bit his lip, unsure of what to say.

He had heard of the Senju siblings before. He knew some of the grudges between Sarutobi Eisuke and Senju Hayashi, but Sarutobi Hiruzen had just brushed it aside.

Perhaps the Third Hokage never expected these two siblings to have such talent.

Without Genya, these two geniuses might have already fallen.

Seeing the deep resentment Hikari held toward Konoha and the Sarutobi clan, Kakashi couldn't help but smile bitterly.

"Kakashi, do you still want to try to convince her?" Genya spoke up as he saw Kakashi's bitter smile. "If you don't have anything else to say, move aside. We need to keep going!"

"No, I won't." Kakashi shook his head and stepped aside.

There was no more conversation, nor anything left to say.

"Remember the Wood Style ninjutsu you promised!" Genya reminded, leaning against the cart as they continued moving forward.

Hikari took a step forward, controlling the vines to sink into the ground, ensuring the cart could pass safely and smoothly.

"Hikari... remember your promise. You won't harm Konoha!" Kakashi could only urge more now. Once they returned to Konoha, his chances to talk with Hikari would be few.

"Naturally!" Hikari nodded but then added, "But, enemies are an exception."

With that, she ignored Kakashi and appeared by Genya's side, her small face alert as she scanned the surroundings, wary of anyone trying to attack Genya.

"Genya... what kind of person are you?" Kakashi whispered softly, staring at the cart's back. The more he observed this guy, the harder it was to figure him out.

Not only had he been lucky enough to earn the loyalty of Hikari and her brother, but his mind was also extremely mature.

If he continued growing, he might become a hidden threat, especially with the two siblings by his side, who could influence any situation.

Especially with the Hokage and the Sarutobi clan, who might face trouble in the future.

Of course, Genya and his group didn't pay any attention to what Kakashi was thinking, as they continued their journey.

On this day, they finally arrived at Iwagakure!
