Chapter 129 - Chapter 128: Dramatic arrival

"ROOOOAAR!!!"

A roar echoed from the sky.

"What!!" x2

The princess sisters, who were still speaking just a second earlier, turned in shock. Not only them, but everyone present subconsciously looked for the source of the roar.

But before they could react—

Boooom ~

A huge figure landed.

"ROOOOAAR!!"

The imposing figure was in shades of cyan, with its main body in light cyan, while its claws and horns were a darker blue. It also emitted light from different parts of its body—most notably, its eyes, which seemed to burn with blue flames, and the scales on its wings, which emitted a turquoise glow.

It had a total of six large wings (three on each side) that allowed it to fly. Behind these wings was a massive tail resembling bird feathers. It had two horns on its head, resembling those of a goat, with a blue gradient that gradually faded into black. Its front beak was incredibly sharp and held very sharp, though few, teeth.

There were four sets of nails on each of its four claws, all long and razor-sharp with a gradient effect.

"This is... a dragon?!"

Iris and Alexia were stunned.

The bodies of the two girls trembled. If not for their royal dignity, they might have collapsed on the spot.

As a human biological instinct, every cell in their bodies screamed at them to run.

"No... I can't..."

Iris unconsciously placed her hand on the hilt of her sword.

But the sword she had always trusted no longer gave her any sense of security.

Midgar's strongest magic swordsman was now questioning her blade like never before.

[Is it really possible? Is it really possible that a slightly sharp piece of metal hanging around my waist could hurt a dragon?]

In front of this dragon—

Her proud sword was no different from a tree branch.

She herself was no different from an ant.

Iris: [What did I just say...?]

Are dragons weak? Just oversized flying lizards?

Thinking about her words from just moments ago, Iris couldn't help but deeply regret them. She almost wanted to go back in time and shut her own mouth before making such an arrogant and foolish statement.

"Sister, sister, calm down."

"Alexia, quickly, run away from here."

"It's okay, sister. We shouldn't be its enemies..."

In contrast to her panicked sister, the younger one remained much calmer. Though the silver-haired princess was trembling, she still lifted her head and stared straight at Dvalin.

Dvalin was a little surprised.

The human woman in front of him had managed to stay composed in his presence.

That was more than most humans could achieve, and it earned Alexia some respect in his heart.

After all, no matter how strong a human may be, to a dragon, they were still just ants. Compared to physical strength, a human's will was more worthy of recognition.

Of course, Leon was an exception.

[Well, Leon is really special.]

The dragon murmured internally.

Although the human princess in front of him was admirable, she was still far from Leon—who had fought him and even broken his scales when they first met.

Sometimes, Dvalin really questioned whether Leon was even human. Did he truly belong to the same species as other humans? Why was there such a massive gap?

"Dvalin, please don't scare everyone."

"Raaaar." (Obviously, it was you who asked me to roar twice to intimidate them when I arrived.)

"Ahem! Are you well, citizens of Midgar?"

Leon jumped down from the dragon's back with his two girls. Everyone immediately turned their attention to him, stunned into silence for a moment.

"This is our first time meeting—welcome to the Kingdom of Midgar, Prince Leon."

Alexia was the first to respond.

She quickly resumed her usual elegant princess demeanor and extended her hand to shake his in greeting.

Iris also came back to her senses a moment later and was glad her sister was handling things. Though Alexia wasn't as good at swordsmanship, she was far more intelligent in other ways.

Looking at the various ministers who were staggering and hurriedly rising from the ground, she couldn't help but twitch at the corners of her eyes... It was a little embarrassing.

"Prince Leon, I'm Iris Midgar. We were awaiting your arrival."

"Hmm, it's a pleasure to meet you. I ask for everyone's kind welcome during my stay in Midgar over the coming days."

After shaking hands with the princess sisters—

Only then did both sides have a moment of quiet to observe each other.

Leon wasn't surprised. He was always surrounded by beauties, and his resistance to charm was maxed out.

But Iris and Alexia were very surprised.

His black hair was like night, his magnificent deep purple eyes, and his handsome face were more striking than any man they had ever seen.

This prince—rumored to have killed a dragon—actually surpassed all their expectations.

Just how much had God blessed this man?

The two girls looked again at Dvalin behind Leon. Iris couldn't help but swallow hard. Then she remembered something very important she had overlooked.

This black-haired prince not only held the title of [Dragon Slayer], but also the even greater title of [Dragon Tamer].

He was a man who had both slain and tamed dragons!

[How did he even do that...?]

Even with the truth standing in front of them, it was still unbelievable. How in the world had this prince tamed—and defeated—a dragon that made them tremble from mere presence?

"Only in fairy tales can there be true dragon slayers." Thinking back to what she had just said, the corners of Alexia's mouth twitched.

The silver-haired princess had a sudden thought—Is Leon the protagonist of some story? Is this world just a tale revolving around him? Then what about everyone in front of him, including her sister Iris and herself? Are they just characters from a book?

[Oh no... I must've been too shocked. My mind is thinking of weird things. Calm down, calm...]

[A/N: She got dangerously close to the truth...]

Alexia took a few steps back, allowing her thoughts to settle and regain clarity after being clouded by the dragon's overwhelming presence.

At the same time, Iris also regained her composure, walked up to Leon, and spoke politely.

"Prince Leon, during your exchange and study period at the Midgar Academy for Knights, if there's anything you need, please feel free to ask. My sister Alexia is also a student there. Please get along with her."

"No problem, Princess Iris. I hope the relationship between our two kingdoms can continue to grow stronger. I've also long admired the swordsmanship of the Knights' Kingdom."

"It's truly an honor to be praised by the legendary dragon slayer."

"Haha, wasn't Princess Iris the winner of the last 'God of War Festival'? If possible, I'd love to spar with you sometime."

The two exchanged formal compliments. But once the social masks came on, the conversation quickly became dull, false, and overly polite.

Leon made eye contact with Euphilia beside him, clearly bored.

The silver-haired girl blinked, then whispered thoughtfully, "Since you find this kind of diplomacy boring, leave it to me from now on."

Leon: [Exactly what I wanted. Euphie, I love you.]

However, such a bland ending wouldn't suit someone like him. After all, he had made a grand entrance. His character didn't allow for such a boring conclusion.

So Leon turned to the red-haired princess.

"By the way, I heard that in Midgar's social customs, there's a unique tradition of 'communicating with swords'. Could you show me a bit, Princess Iris?"

"Of course I can."

The whole place was in an uproar.

The champion of the God of War Festival and the dragon slayer—the princess and prince of two kingdoms—meeting for the first time, and they want to duel?

Why are these two not elegant at all?!

(End of Chapter)

Give me some power stones there you go~😉

I finally managed to solve that problem almost completely and I possibly did one of the most idiotic and cretinous things of my life🌚

You remember what I was being accused of, right? Homophobia.

This was relatively easy to resolve since the other party had no proof that they had not actually been hired because of their gender.

We literally did one of the easiest things to do, we just showed the resume of the accuser and those who were hired... I practically heard the sound of a slap in the face.

After that everything went exactly as expected from a false accusation, lots of lies.

It was an easy victory.

Now let's talk a little about what exactly was the cretinous thing I did.

I hired a gay lawyer to defend me against an accusation of homophobia, I don't know what came into my head to do this, much less what came into the lawyer's head to make him accept it, s I just know it was amazing and this will possibly be one of the stories I'll tell my future children.

The time I hired a gay lawyer to defend me against a homophobia charge.😂😂

And the best part of all, with the money I'll earn from this process, I'll finally be able to buy my RTX 4090. I only see advantages.
