Chapter 195 - Call From the Guild

After breakfast, Aphrodite kept urging Charlie to start their date immediately. She folded her arms in front of her chest, her beautiful face adorned with a confident smile.

"Charlie, come on! What else are you waiting for? Today is our day. I've prepared everything!"

"Weren't you the one who said we didn't need to rush?"

Aphrodite flicked her hair gracefully while stepping closer to Charlie.

"That was before. Now I'm ready, so it's time for you to spoil me. We're going out, and I'll make sure everyone is jealous of us."

Charlie didn't argue. Just appearing in public, the Goddess of Beauty would attract anyone who laid eyes on her. Undoubtedly, he would become the center of attention while on a date with Aphrodite.

'I just hope there won't be some cliché scene where an arrogant young master lusts after her and starts a conflict. Sigh… Somehow, this reminds me of those xianxia novel tropes.'

That ridiculous scenario wouldn't happen—Charlie felt he was overthinking it. No matter how vile or wicked an adventurer's personality was, they would never dare lay a hand on a god or goddess.

"I am Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty! You should be proud to be my partner, even if it's just for a day." Aphrodite smiled with full confidence.

"I'm not one of those unfortunate men who'd fall for your charm in seconds."

Even the most powerful Goddess of Beauty, Freya—whose charm was feared even by the gods—had failed to affect him. Charlie had no idea where Aphrodite's confidence came from.

'Seems like I don't have to worry about Charlie becoming Aphrodite's plaything.'

Watching this, Astraea simply shook her head with a faint smile. To her, this was a rare sight—Aphrodite, who was usually worshipped and idolized, now seemed desperate to get attention from a man.

Beyond that, Astraea was both surprised and impressed that Charlie remained completely unaffected by Aphrodite's charm, even when the goddess tried amplifying her power.

"Alright, have fun. I'll take Aishia and Est around Orario while you two enjoy your time together." Astraea waved her hand, giving her blessing to their date.

Aphrodite gave a thumbs-up, clearly pleased with Astraea's support.

*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*

However, before they could leave, loud knocking came from the door.

"Let me get it."

Charlie casually walked to the door and opened it.

Standing before him was a woman with long, wavy crimson-red hair, animal-like ears protruding from the sides of her head, and sharp golden eyes.

She wore a formal Guild uniform. Her figure was striking—a slender waist, yet with a voluptuous chest that her uniform could barely contain.

This woman was Rose Fannett, a Guild receptionist infamous among adventurers for her cold demeanor as well as her breathtaking beauty.

"Rose? Long time no see. How have you been lately?" Charlie asked casually.

"..."

Unfortunately, Rose interpreted Charlie's friendliness as flirting. After all, adventurers often tried to charm her. She crossed her arms, staring at him with a flat expression.

"I have no obligation to share my personal life. And besides, we met just a few days ago. That's hardly 'long.'"

Charlie gave a wry smile at her unfriendliness. To him, time felt vastly different—he had spent nearly a month in the Gotoubun no Hanayome world before returning to Danmachi's world. But to Rose, unaware of his journey to another world, their last meeting had only been days ago.

"Let me guess, the Guild wants to ask about my level, right?"

"Oh, so you are self-aware, Charlie Avalon. Do you know that failing to report your true level to the Guild is a serious violation? Your adventurer's license could be revoked, and you might be banned from entering the Dungeon."

Rose's impression of Charlie was terrible after hearing about the incident involving him in the Entertainment District.

The Guild had quickly learned of the major disturbance in the Entertainment District—an incident involving a clash between Charlie and the Ishtar Familia. The event became a hot topic after news spread that Charlie had defeated the entire Ishtar Familia, including their Level 5 captain.

Thus, the Guild sent Rose to call Charlie for questioning.

"...!!!"

Since Charlie was taking too long, Aphrodite decided to check on him. When she reached the door, she found her date chatting amiably with a beautiful woman in a Guild uniform.

Frowning, Aphrodite strode forward and, without hesitation, wrapped her arms around Charlie's, making it clear that the man was hers.

"G-Good morning, Aphrodite-sama."

Not everyone was immune to the Goddess of Beauty's charm, and Rose was no exception—unlike the two anomalies, Charlie and Bell.

Her face flushed, and her gaze wavered momentarily as she was mesmerized by Aphrodite's presence. However, she quickly averted her eyes, not daring to look any longer.

"Hmm… You're a Guild receptionist, right? What do you want with my Charlie?"

Aphrodite glared sharply at Rose. Though she didn't recognize the woman before her, the distinctive Guild uniform gave away her occupation. Quickly, she deduced that the other party was a Guild receptionist.

Not wanting trouble, Rose carefully explained, "I've been sent by the Guild to call Charlie Avalon for questioning regarding the incident in the Entertainment District."

However, hearing this, Aphrodite immediately scowled. "What? No way! Charlie and I are going on a date. I won't allow the Guild to steal our precious time."

"Ugh… This…"

Aphrodite's firm refusal left Rose at a loss.

"Well, I don't want to go to the Guild either, but I have a way to prove my words. Rose, come inside."

Charlie could have just asked Aphrodite to determine whether he was lying or not. However, he realized Rose might not fully trust that, assuming Aphrodite would be biased in his favor.

Thus, Charlie decided to bring in Astraea as a neutral third party. Rose might doubt Aphrodite, but she wouldn't dare distrust the Goddess of Justice, right?

"..."

Without another word, Rose followed Charlie inside. As soon as they stepped into the living room, her eyes landed on the graceful figure of a goddess sitting elegantly on the sofa.

"Astraea-sama?!" Rose gasped, hardly believing who she was facing.

"Ah, you're from the Guild? Welcome." Astraea greeted Rose with a warm smile.

Rose bowed formally. "My name is Rose Fannett. I'm a Guild receptionist."

However, as she straightened up, her gaze inadvertently fell upon two other figures in the room.

Aside from Aphrodite and Astraea, there were two other girls whose beauty was equally stunning. A petite girl with long silver hair sat quietly, while the other was a strikingly lovely peach-haired teenager.

'Two goddesses and two more beautiful girls… What kind of place is this? This man is literally surrounded by women like it's his own harem. What a playboy scumbag! I absolutely despise men like this!' Rose thought, turning her face away in disgust.

She tried to keep her expression neutral, but the longer she stood there, the more her mind filled with negative assumptions about Charlie.

'Already surrounded by four beautiful girls—any one of whom would be fought over by every man in Orario—yet he still had time to visit a brothel in the Entertainment District? What a degenerate. Isn't having all this enough? Does he have to flaunt how greedy he is?'
