Sapphira's P.O.V.
As I walked up to the girl and before I could finally introduce myself she left, "Wait!!" I called before she could take another step and she stopped and turns to me, "Have we met?" "Yeah don't you remember…in the morning you showed me the way to Mr. Jones class…" "Oh I remember you, we met right here" "I'm Sapphira Woods and I'm new here" "Oh I'm Caryn West" "Caryn, nice to meet you" "Nice to meet you too".
"So could please show me the cafeteria?" "Sure I was just heading there" "Okay let's get going" "Ok" with that we left to the cafeteria when we got there, Caryn introduced me to her friends and we took a seat "Why don't you tell us about yourself" Sophie said, she is just a breath of fresh air, she has these wonderful set of green eyes that sparks when she is interested and trust me she is always.
As I was about to introduce myself, some group of girls walked pass us and intentionally spilled yoghurt on us, I was angry and I wanted to give them a piece of my mind when Sophie's boyfriend Williams said "Don't stress yourself with those girls" "Do they do this all the time?" Sophie nods and Caryn frowns "Sophie and Will, you guys should stop hanging out with me" "Hey there is no need to worry we'll just cleanup and it will fine".
"But it's because of me that they keep making things hard for you guys…" "Hey don't worry we will still stick together" with that we all left the cafeteria and we went to the locker room and cleanup, while Williams was waiting for us outside I asked Caryn "What's it with those girls?" Caryn exhales and Sophie checks if there were any other persons in the locker room "Those girls are Selena and her lackeys…" "Ok, so?" "…well I used to be one of her lackeys back as a freshman and one day she wanted me to date to his guy in senior class just because it looks cool."
I was so shocked that I had nothing to say "No way!" "Yeah, I said no and she kicked me out of the group and making my life and the life of anyone around me miserable that's why as my friends I don't want anything to happen to you guys." After she said that I was touched "Ok we will head to class now before the bell rings" "Oh I have to tidy my hair first then I'll join you guys" "Ok." As they left I did what I had to do and left the locker room and guess who I met outside…Selena and her lackeys were walking towards their class.
I don't know where I got the courage from but I stopped them "What do you think you're doing?" "I just stopped you tell you that if you guys think of going near Caryn or anyone around me or I make sure you know what real torture feels like" "Wait a minute are you threatening us?" "If that's what sinks well with you then yes" with that I walked away and what happened totally left my mind as I went for class.
After school I remember that I needed to get an afterschool job to keep me busy and so I could not be able to understand Brooklyn better, as I walk out of school I saw a lot of shops across the school building so I walked over and looked through everyone's signboard looking for any open space for employment just when I thought I had no chance, I saw a nice cool diner called Delicious Diner. As I entered, I met this cheerful looking girl, she has dark brown eyes and short wavy hair that marched her eyes "What would you like to order?" "No…hmm…I saw a need for afterschool part-timers…I wanted check if the offer is still out…" "Of course, it's still out if you want?".
'I have to do this or else I will at home and it will be depressing if that's what I'll be doing everyday so I have get this done' "Yeah I want it" "Okay go through the backdoor and pass through the corridor by your left and knock the last door and try your luck" "Okay I'll" with that I walked to the direction she showed me and as I knocked the door, a calm voice ushered me into the room, as I walked in I saw a nice-looking middle-aged woman with a warm smile on her face "Are you here for the job?" "Yes Ma'am" "So I will just ask you a few questions, you alright with that?" "Yeah that's fine by me" "Ok do you have any anger management issues?" "No..." "Do you have the capability to remember a huge amount of things at the same time?" "I can try…" "How is your tolerance?" "Average…" "…okay we can work with that, so I think that is all you are hired…you can start working by tomorrow right after you're through with school, are you okay with that?" "Okay, so what is going to be the mode of payment?" "Well the pay for waitress is $44.90 per hour" "Okay that will be good so I will see you tomorrow." "Okay have a nice day Miss…" "Sapphira Woods".
I left the diner and went home just to find out my mum was not at home as usual she never has time for me. I went to my room and took a soothing bathe and put on a pair of comfy PJs and made little brown cookies and a warm glass of milk and had it for dinner and then I went to bed not knowing what tomorrow holds but I'm ready for tomorrow outcome. That's how my journey for a new and stable life beginnings and there are new friends and new enemies but will it last and will I find everything I always dreamed of? That's something I hope for and whatever happens I will not be that disappointed but there is still little hope left for now.
