Arthur nodded, "I understand, which is why I didn't call in the police directly from Scotland Yard, but instead handpicked some sharp and capable young men from the Police Intelligence Department. They are young people too, and like me, they are not in uniform."
Andrew's heart hung in suspense relaxed slightly, "That's good... they didn't bring weapons, did they?"
Arthur expressed cautiously, "As a precaution, they are equipped with the bare minimum of force. Please understand, while I desire to resolve this peacefully, I must also be responsible for the safety of my subordinates."
"The bare minimum of force is... a stick?"
"A short one," Arthur said. "As long as the situation doesn't spiral out of control, they won't take action. If these young people accept their guidance smoothly, perhaps later they might be clinking glasses with my policemen in a tavern."
