He rocks her back and forth, tears stream down his face. "Kiran... please don't leave me... You know I can't live without you... scold me all you want but please don't leave me.. please.." he holds her tightly and begs but deep down he knows that it's of no use but he didn't want to admit it.
BACK TO PRESENT
"That's how your..mom died..." Yaram says, his voice cracks with emotions and he winces in pain.
Tears roll down Noor's cheeks. "Baba..why did they kill her... Why?" The truth of her mother's death was too much for a daughter to handle.
Yaram looks at her fragile daughter. "I'm sorry..I couldn't save her..." He says. "I don't know who killed her and why....but you have to find out when you grow up..will you?" He says looking at her with hope. He knew he was asking too much, but she was his last hope.
Noor's mind drifts back to Yaram's condition. " I will. But Dad, we should find you a doctor first..."she says, fear etched on her face. She tries to stop his blood with her tiny hands. "Dad, please... let's go to a doctor....." She looks at him with begging eyes.
Yaram looks at his delicate daughter and tears well up in his eyes. "Noor, you'll have to be strong..and live on your own.. when I'm gone..." He says in a low, weak voice and tries to keep his eyes open.
" Where are you going..? Take me with you! I'll not stay alone!" She says like a stubborn child. She holds his hand with her small one. " Please....."
His heart shatters into million pieces." I'm going to see mom.... You can't come there..." He takes a pause. " And promise me you'll never try to..." He adds and breaths heavily trying to keep his eyes open.
" Dad... please don't leave me alone... Please stay with me...." She says helplessly. Her little mind couldn't accept this harsh reality that her father, her only family was also leaving her.
" I'm sorry, my angel... " He says in a low voice and with that he takes his last breath. Despite all his efforts he couldn't stay any longer with his little angel.
"No! No! No! Baba, you can't go like that. " She rocks him back and forth trying to wake him up but he lies there lifeless , his clothes are stained with blood all over. His blood has formed small pools near him. She rests her head on his chest not caring about her clothes. "Baba, am I that annoying...? Why do you guys left me..? " She sobs and says ,her voice cracks with emotions. She wasn't enough mature to understand the situation but she knew that she has a very difficult way ahead. She couldn't accept that this is the reality, that she was left alone in this storm now.
She lifts her head and says, "you're teasing me, right? Dad, it's not a good joke.. please wake up.. please." She sobs and begs him to wake up. Time passes but Noor cries uncontrollably. It's already late night. She was alone in a dark jungle with dead body of her father, which is a nightmare for any child at her age. She was just a 7 years old, little girl she didn't deserve to see this much.
After a while her stomach growls and she realizes that she hasn't eaten anything since morning. "Dad.....look I'm hungry... Please wake up.... What will I do without you..?" Tears stream down her face again. " Are you really gone?" Her voice cracks. "You said mom is in jannah... Dad, you said jannah has everything in it...mom doesn't need you..but I do... please come back... Dad, please....." She was talking to Yaram's dead body.
Suddenly a snake appears out of nowhere. Noor gets terrified. "Baba! Baba! Baba, wake up! " She screams and fear etched on her face. She thinks about running but thought of leaving her father keeps her in place. She rocks her father back and forth . "Baba..! It's coming near... please wake up!" She says with tears in her eyes. " Baba, I'm scared...!" She says, her voice trembling in fear.
She shouts but it's of no use, because nothing can bring Yaram back. That deadly snake which is bigger than her in size keeps coming forward. " Ahhh...!
