Yaram got furious. "You've made a grave mistake.Prepare to face the consequences." He says and lungs at him.
"Give up, Yaram," their leader sneered. "You're no match to us." He signals his men to follow Noor.
"You'll regret ever laying eyes on my daughter." Yaram says and kills his men ruthlessly.
Yaram's eyes blazed with determination.
It was almost night. The masked men attacked, their swords flashing in faint moonlight. Yaram dodged and weaved, his sword slicing through the attackers with deadly precision. But he was vastly outnumbered.
A sword pierced his shoulder, and Yaram cried out stumbling backward. "Ahh!" He winced in pain. Another slash struck his ribs, sending him crashing to the ground.
As those men closed in, Yaram summoned his last ounce of strength. With a fierce battle cry, he leapt up, sword flashing in swift arcs. Men fell around him, but more took their place. Yaram was getting tired and frustrated as the time passes.
Yaram's vision blurred, his wounds burning. Noor's face haunted his mind.
Suddenly, a masked man lunged, sword aimed at Yaram's heart. He dodged, and he kicked in the man's stomach, sending him stumbling ,Yaram scrambled to his feet, grabbing a nearby branch as a makeshift weapon.
The masked men hesitated, momentarily stunned by his ferocity. Some of them ran away and some stepped back in fear.
"I told you.You messed with the wrong family." Yaram spat charging forward. The battle raged on, Yaram's determination and rage fueling him despite his grave injuries.
He didn't care about the pain and kept fighting.
Aftermath
Yaram stood victorious but battered surrounded by bodies. His sword lay nearby, its blade smeared with blood. He was badly injured, his body was hurting like hell but he couldn't leave his daughter alone.
With shaking hands Yaram retrieved his sword and began to trek to the cave where Noor waited. He could barely walk with his injuries but he didn't stop.
As he approached the cave, a faint light flickered with in. Yaram's heart swelled with relief.
"Noor!" He called out, his voice weak but relieved.
Noor emerged from the cave, tears streaming down her face.
"Baba!" She cried, rushing into his arms.
Yaram hugged her tightly, his eyes closing as exhaustion and pain consumed him. He notices a bruise on Noor's elbow and gets worried. "How did this happen?" He asks as if he forgot all his injuries for her little wound.
"I tripped over a branch..." She replies innocently looking at her bruise.
"Does it hurt..?" He asks worriedly.
"Yes..." She innocently complains and hugs him back.
"I'm sorry," Yaram whispered. "I scared you."
Noor pulled back, her eyes shining with tears."You didn't" she wipes her tears.
"Baba you're bleeding!" She says with fear in her voice as she notices his wounds.
Yaram sits on the ground resting his back on a tree. He winces in pain. He lets out a sigh and takes out a bracelet from his pocket. It's a beautiful golden bracelet smeared with blood. Yaram cleans it with his already bloody clothes.
"Noor, it belonged to your mother." Yaram winces in pain." Keep it, it'll keep you safe. " Noor takes it and her eyes widen, she was still worried about his wounds but her tiny brain couldn't figure out the solution.
"Baba, it was mom's bracelet...?" She asks as tears well up in her eyes, she holds it with her tiny hands.
"Noor come here..." Yaram pats the empty side.
She looks up with curiosity and sits near him.
"Noor, i want to tell you something." Yaram holds Noor's hand gently.
"What is it,baba?" Noor ask with worry and curiosity.
Yaram doesn't know where to start because he knows it's too much for a little girl to handle but he knows he doesn't have enough time so he gets to the point.
"My girl, this world isn't what you think. This world is divided into two parts." Yaram says in a low voice he knows it's too much for a little girl to handle but he has to tell her.
"What do you mean, Baba? What two parts?" She asks. Her voice barely above a whisper.
"One is us humans, the other is mythical creatures." Yaram trying not to close his eyes because he know if he closed them maybe they'll never open. Noor gets shocked, she couldn't believe what her father just said.
"Noor, do you know how I met your mother?" Yaram asks trying to start with easy.
Noor shake her head. "You never told me." Her eyes full of curiosity.
"Your mom was a mythical being." Yaram says.
Noor's eyes wide open with surprise. "What! A mythical being.....?"
