"You can say that yourself? Based on what?" Tessa asked, her brow furrowed, disbelief flashing across her face. Madisyn blinked, caught off guard. How could Tessa possibly know anything about her personal life?
"I'm just saying... when a couple enjoys themselves in bed, it shows. The woman glows, she talks about it. But with you? I never saw that glow," Tessa said, her words casual, but the jab behind them was clear.
Madisyn felt her chest tighten, irritation bubbling up inside her. Was Tessa implying she had never been happy? That she hadn't "glowed" the way women supposedly did when they were satisfied in their relationships? Why had her sister never said this before?
"I did sleep with Joey regularly—two, maybe three times a week," Madisyn replied defensively, her voice taut with frustration. "I don't see what the issue is."
"Madi, that's not regular," Tessa shot back, shaking her head with a slight smirk. "That's low. I'm with my boyfriend that much in a day."
