Chapter 139 - A Ranger's Tale (2)

After a few minutes of catching his breath from the initial report, and some help to let out his emotions, the ranger relayed all of the things he learned during his mission. Ranging from the couples singing the lullaby normally, to out right forgetting who originated the wonderful tune they all once fell asleep too. The sound that snuggled them with a mother's warmth, and yet dared to claim that demonic man was responsible for creating it.

The elves present who heard the report, had slightly different opinions on the whole report. At first some just flat out refused to believe it was true. But in the end the intense emotions the ranger experienced were unlike any other.

Some of the elves, specifically the lesbians of the village, were curious about the lullaby during relations. "I wonder how that actually feels?" They thought aloud.

"Hey, if you ladies are going to do that, at least let us join in this time."

"Yeah, you make so many sounds the whole village can hear when you're making love."

The men complained.

"Pfft, sorry boys, but we don't want to have another child right now."

"You'll have to wait until we decide to have kids again. So you'll just have to bear it."

"Or, you know, you could try doing it with each other you know. Mother has said she doesn't mind it, and even encourages such freedoms."

"That's right, and it's not we stop you from watching us in the first place."

The women retorted, causing the men to reel in disappointment. With a couple of them daring to consider their village sister's words. Sister being the term they call any elf who happened to be lucky enough to share a gander with their beloved mother.

Oddly enough, the ladies noticed it and giggled. One of them spoke up for them. "However, we wouldn't mind letting you three join us this time." She said with a smirk and lick of her lips. "You at least considered doing it, which is more than I can say for those others there."

Then, the village head, one of the women who frequently enjoyed the company of men and women alike, spoke up. "I think we should return to our mother's embrace. We should pick up and move to Tus Nadair."

A man, fearful of mother's judgement, spoke up. "But, will she not punish us for what we did? We turned our back on her…"

The village head narrowed her eyes, then looked to the side and saw the rather young elves. "Can you blame those children for it as well?" She asked, seeing the man crumble. "I love each of them, even though their parents are all ones who turned their back on our beloved mother. I don't dare to speak for her, but if I have even a sliver of understanding, I'm sure that mother would welcome our return home. She may even cry tears of joy, while we cry into her bosom, a bosom we call home."

The village head's words were rather steep. The impact was clear to see on all of the elves' faces. The silence was deafening, only occasionally broken by the wind through the forest. And while the adults were discussing it…

"Huh? Mother? But Mommy, you're right here, right?"

The girl's mother paused for a moment. "Oh, I see what you mean… You've never got the chance to be held by Mother…" She crouched down and rubbed her daughter's head. "You remember that lullaby?"

The girl's lips widened into a really happy smile. "Yep, I love that lullaby!" She couldn't contain her feelings, just remembering that song.

"Well, it was our mother who gave us the lovely song. The embrace we feel from it is amazing, but, once you experience your mother's body for yourself, you'll understand just how much we love her. And how deep a sin, turning one's back to her love truly is."

"Wait, so, Mother Goddess is the one who made that song! Can I… Can I meet her!"

"Of course you can."

The village adults nodded, as if coming to the same conclusion. And with a nod, everyone began to prepare for their departure. The village head took charge of watching over the children while the adults did the work. Together, she and the children offered up a prayer to their mother… One that didn't come as a surprise. And one that would be answered.

It didn't take long to notice the portal, and from the other side, came a voice. Welcome home my children. Come home to me, my babies, my children. And wash away all that ails you.

From there, they dropped everything, and were about to enter the portal. However, the village head stopped everyone, she had an idea. And turned to face everyone.

"My brothers and sisters. When we walk through this portal, we will return to our mother's side. I say we cast off everything we once were, and offer our bare selves to her." And in a full show of conviction, she stripped, not caring for a single moment about anyone seeing her body. "Soon we will live as Nadairians, the mother's home she built for all of the brothers and sisters who accept her as their mother. Join me-"

What she wasn't prepared for was the voice that came from beyond the portal. Wow! Last time my children waited to do it once they arrived home. You're a good child, I'll give you a little extra snuggle time with me. Is there something else you'd desire?

"Well mother, I'd love to find a worthy man to bear children with. One that doesn't make me feel like I'm replacing the lover I lost a hundred years ago."

There is no shortage of men in my nation, who will prove to meet your needs. And if you can't find what you're looking for among them, perhaps you could help me with something, in return you could bear the child of a dragon lord.

The sound of that seemed unreal, but it was enticing nonetheless. And so, the village stripped their clothes off, and walked through the portal. The children who had never once seen Night Silver before, cried as they ran into the bath. It was the moment they learned that they found something, they didn't realize they had wanted so desperately badly. And so, from there, Night Silver repeated her actions from the other day, once more.
