"So, it was all for Rin Nohara!" Akira nodded as he listened to Obito's words.
Even if Rin Nohara was just a body brought back by the Impure World Reincarnation, her soul was undeniably the real Rin. Considering Obito's obsession with her, it was only logical for him to try to take her back once he learned her soul was in Akira's possession.
"Obito, we should go now..." Black Zetsu said as it approached Obito.
Now that Akira had openly called out Obito by name, there was no point in hiding anymore.
"Leave?" Obito hesitated at Black Zetsu's words.
He had attacked for Rin's sake, but now that the battle had begun, was he really going to just turn tail without even trying? Wouldn't that be humiliating?
Despite his reluctance, Obito understood that he and Black Zetsu were not enough to defeat Akira, especially since the real Akira hadn't even been harmed. The previous two wooden clones had deceived him completely.
"Damn it, this ability really is disgusting!" Obito cursed in his heart, frustrated at Akira's foresight.
"Let's go!" Black Zetsu insisted.
Even though Obito was unwilling, he knew he couldn't defeat Akira without seriously injuring him first. So, he turned to leave. But just as Obito began activating Kamui, the spiraling void of space distorting before his right eye, Akira made his move.
Raising his Kusanagi Sword, Akira infused it with chakra, and the blade instantly extended, aiming straight at Obito at incredible speed.
Clang!
Seeing the Kusanagi Sword coming, Obito hastily raised a kunai to block it.
Obito's Kamui was interrupted as the force of the impact pushed him back. Though the kunai managed to stop the blade, Akira didn't let up—the Kusanagi Sword kept extending, pushing Obito back even further, forcing his legs to drag across the ground for quite a distance.
With Akira's overwhelming chakra, Obito was pushed back over a thousand meters before the Kusanagi Sword finally stopped.
The nearly limitless extending feature of the Kusanagi Sword was indeed immensely powerful.
Without wasting any time, Akira leaped forward, pursuing Obito. At the same time, the Mangekyō Sharingan appeared in his eyes. He used its unique ability—extraction—targeting Obito and attempting to strip away his abilities.
Fire Release, Wood Release, Substitution Jutsu...
Though the extraction ability allowed for a new skill to be targeted every five seconds, the skills drawn were completely random. Akira knew it was just like drawing cards—sometimes it took several tries to get what you wanted.
Until Akira managed to extract Kamui from Obito, capturing him was no simple task.
Still, Akira maintained the pressure, ensuring Obito couldn't activate Kamui to escape while continually extracting abilities.
Against Akira, an opponent whose power level far exceeded Kage-level, Obito was completely outmatched in strength, speed, and other aspects. There was no way for him to activate Kamui and flee successfully.
Seeing the situation, Black Zetsu dashed towards Akira, attempting to help Obito. After consuming a pill from Ōtsutsuki Urashiki, Black Zetsu had become much stronger, especially in its ability to control others' mental faculties.
Its previous failure had only occurred because it had tried to control a wooden clone.
If it could successfully possess Akira's true body, Black Zetsu believed that its mental power would be sufficient to control Akira.
Bang!
But as Black Zetsu lunged towards Akira, Hinata intervened, her figure flashing to block its path. Her Tenseigan shone brightly, and she unleashed a repulsive force that sent Black Zetsu flying backward.
"What do you think you're doing?" Naruto also leaped in to block Black Zetsu, shouting angrily.
Rōshi and Han also joined in, blocking Black Zetsu's approach.
Killer Bee, on the other hand, was busy fighting against Yusuke, using his unique swordsmanship.
Yusuke primarily used the Dragonfly Cut in his swordsmanship, but even with his nimble techniques, he was still struggling under Killer Bee's relentless multi-sword attack.
"Damn it, there are too many Kage-level opponents here!" Black Zetsu cursed internally as he found himself unable to get past his attackers.
Meanwhile, Akira continued his fight with Obito, relentlessly pressuring him. Without Kamui, Obito wouldn't have lasted this long.
But even so, their battle couldn't continue indefinitely.
Although Akira had terrible luck and hadn't drawn Kamui after dozens of attempts, he knew Kamui could only be maintained for five minutes.
Once the time ran out, Akira acted immediately.
He reached out, grabbing Obito by the neck and lifting him into the air.
Obito struggled fiercely, trying to break free, but Akira's grip was like iron, tightening even further.
"Damn it..." Black Zetsu's expression shifted as he saw Obito getting captured, but he couldn't break through Naruto and the others. He was overwhelmed by their combined attacks, and the situation was dire.
If not for his incorporeal nature, Black Zetsu would have been defeated already by the sheer number of powerful enemies.
Seeing that Obito was captured and recognizing the difficulty of escaping from Naruto and his allies, Black Zetsu made a swift decision—he chose to abandon Obito.
As much as he hated to leave Obito behind, Black Zetsu knew that staying any longer would mean getting captured or killed himself.
In a battle, sometimes the only option was to sacrifice a teammate.
With his decision made, Black Zetsu wasted no time, slipping underground to make his escape.
Naruto hurled a massive Rasengan at the spot where Black Zetsu vanished, creating a massive crater, but it was already too late—Black Zetsu had vanished underground like a dragon returning to the sea.
"Damn it, he got away!" Naruto shouted, frustrated.
But there was no helping it—Black Zetsu had escaped, and there was no way to track him down now.
On the other side, Obito, still in Akira's grip, struggled until his body went limp.
"Akira, is he dead?" Hinata and the others approached, asking in concern.
"Not yet. He just passed out due to a lack of oxygen," Akira replied, shaking his head.
Since Obito was unconscious, Akira quickly performed a series of hand seals, placing a sealing jutsu on him to block all chakra flow within his body.
With his chakra sealed, Obito was now unable to pose any threat. With that settled, Akira turned his attention to Yusuke.
Under Killer Bee's relentless sword attacks, Yusuke was on the verge of defeat, and at that moment, Killer Bee finally overwhelmed him...
