"..."

Arcueid's words plunged the scene into an awkward silence.

Lorelei looked up at the bright sun, determined her bearings, then glanced dismissively at Arcueid. "It's currently 9:40 AM. It is not lunchtime."

Haru wasn't surprised in the slightest that Lorelei had completely ignored Arcueid's adorable pout. It wasn't just because they were both female; the Barthomeloi family was notoriously hostile towards Dead Apostles, and by extension, True Ancestors like Arcueid.

But Haru, who doted on Arcueid, wasn't about to let Lorelei have her way.

"Ah, judging by the sun's angle, it is lunchtime. So, if you wouldn't mind leading the way, Miss Barthomeloi—" Haru said, also looking up at the sun, his tone flat.

Arcueid immediately latched onto Haru's arm, nodding eagerly like a chick pecking at grain, affirming his statement.

A flicker of astonishment crossed Lorelei's face. She stared blankly at Haru, who was blatantly lying through his teeth with a perfectly straight face.

Her lip twitched.

"—Follow me," Lorelei said curtly, then turned and walked impassively towards the cafeteria.

The Clock Tower's West Cafeteria.

Though called a cafeteria, it more closely resembled a large, upscale Western restaurant. Both the table arrangements and the elegant interior decor exuded an air of comfort, freedom, and relaxation.

Even in the Magical world, the customer was king.

Most Mages, whose families had at least three generations of history, weren't lacking for money thanks to their extraordinary powers. Naturally, their lifestyles tended towards the lavish.

Lorelei led Haru and Arcueid briskly into the cafeteria.

Since it wasn't peak mealtime, most of the waiters were diligently polishing cutlery and tableware, striving for spotless perfection.

When the group entered their line of sight, the waiters immediately stopped what they were doing. The closest one hurried over, his voice filled with an almost palpable reverence. "How may I assist you, esteemed guests?"

They had good reason to be deferential.

Most Mages at the Clock Tower were not easy to please. The slightest perceived offense could easily result in death.

Those who managed to survive here had all maxed out their people-reading skills.

Before Haru or Lorelei could respond, Arcueid exclaimed excitedly, "Food! Food!"

"This way, esteemed guests!" The waiter immediately gestured invitingly.

"Private room," Lorelei stated succinctly.

"Yes, ma'am!" The waiter promptly led the three into a private room in the back.

"...Quite a selection, isn't it?" Haru chuckled, perusing the menu.

The rather thick booklet was filled with cuisines from all over the world.

"Wow~!!!"

Arcueid was practically draped over Haru, her feet dangling off the ground, her head pillowed on his shoulder, her eyes wide with delight as she scanned the menu. Her soft chest was pressed firmly against his back, causing a considerable... deformation.

Feeling that astonishing elasticity, a smirk played on Haru's lips. He addressed the waiter, who stood nearby, studiously avoiding eye contact. "We'll have one of everything."

"Yay~!!" Arcueid planted a loud kiss on Haru's cheek, tightened her grip around his neck, and cheered.

"Yes, sir!!" The waiter, without a word of protest, nodded and silently exited the room, even closing the door with utmost care, not making a sound.

Soon after, the appetizer courses were brought to the table.

Thanks to Altrouge's recent, diligent tutelage, Arcueid's table manners had finally become elegant—though her eating speed remained incredibly fast.

Haru merely sampled a few dishes, then ordered Lorelei, "Restroom. Take me."

Lorelei, who had been sitting opposite Haru with her arms crossed, watching Arcueid eat with an icy expression, felt her lip twitch. She silently stood up and led Haru towards the restroom.

As the two left the private room, Arcueid's eyes darted around, and she instantly reverted to her true nature, beginning to devour the food with gusto.

After all, Altrouge had only taught her to be elegant 'in front of others'; she hadn't said anything about how to behave when no one was looking.

Haru followed Lorelei to the restroom and gently pushed open the door.

The Clock Tower cafeteria's restrooms seemed to be individual stalls, each exceeding thirty square meters in size. The air had been specially treated, leaving not a trace of odor.

"This is it." Lorelei turned to leave, but Haru reached out and pulled her directly into the restroom.

Click—!

The next moment, the door was locked from the inside, and dozens of barriers enveloped the entire restroom.

"What do you think you're doing?" Lorelei's face darkened as she looked at Haru, who stood before her, his expression impassive. She questioned him in a low, dangerous voice.

"Shouldn't it be you who's doing something?" Haru leaned down, his expression impassive. He reached out, his hand caressing Lorelei's lower abdomen, his face darkening. "Why is there no sign of life?"

A flicker of panic crossed her brown eyes. Lorelei said in a low voice, "You should understand, this was merely a means to lure you here. How could it happen after just once?"

"Tch, in that case, we'll just have to try a few more times. A few more times should do the trick," Haru said, his face grim.

"What do you mean by that?" Lorelei's pupils constricted, her voice cold.

"Everyone knows this is why I came. If it doesn't happen, how can I show my face?" Haru stated, his expression impassive.

Lorelei made a split-second decision, muttering an incantation under her breath, preparing to blast the door open and escape.

"Stay." Words imbued with a contractual concept cut through the space, reaching Lorelei's ears.

Haru slowly walked up to Lorelei and commanded softly, "Kneel. And take it in your mouth."

"..." Lorelei's face instantly turned deathly pale.

Even as she desperately tried to muster her magic power to resist, her hands moved with an unnatural ease, unbuckling his pants.

Her painted, rosy lips slowly parted.

Muffled whimpers soon filled the restroom.
