When Shen Li stood by the passenger seat and waited for Shen Xingchen, he greeted her with open arms as she approached with a beaming smile.
"Uncle." She flung herself into his arms, and Shen Xingchen looked up at him, joyfully calling out to him.
Shen Li smiled, bent down, and kissed her on the cheek, then opened the car door for her to get in.
After a while, the car started, and Shen Xingchen, as usual, kept chatting with Shen Li nonstop.
Except for Shen Li, she never had so much to say to anyone else.
Seeing Shen Xingchen so talkative, Shen Li was amused and during a red light, he pinched her chin and gave her a quick kiss on the lips.
With that kiss, Shen Xingchen's eyes turned into crescent moons as she continued chattering away.
"Uncle, today our hospital had a director taken away; rumor has it he was caught for taking kickbacks. Such scoundrels deserve no sympathy when caught."
