Chapter 284: The Advancing Vegeta!
The Margins of Universe Seven.
On a certain planet, a deafening explosion shook the ground, and several figures instantly appeared in the sky. These individuals exuded a wild and violent aura, dressed in battle armor.
They were the remaining survivors of the Saiyan race: Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz.
By a stroke of luck, they did not perish along with Planet Vegeta when it was destroyed. However, due to Frieza's interference, the three of them never joined Frieza's army and had been wandering on the fringes of the universe ever since.
Using their scouters, they had gathered fragmented information about the current state of the universe. Although incomplete, the data made it clear that with their current strength, exposing themselves would be extremely dangerous.
After all...
Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza.
That said, after years of exploration, they had also discovered that a few Saiyans had survived on another planet. However, those Saiyans appeared to have close ties with Frieza, making Vegeta and the others reluctant to reveal themselves. Instead, they had been silently working to increase their combat power.
Currently, the three had grown significantly stronger:
Vegeta: Combat power of 200,000.
Nappa: Combat power of 90,000.
Raditz: Combat power of 15,000.
This meant they had surpassed the limits of the Saiyan race as it existed on Planet Vegeta. Even Raditz, a low-class warrior with the weakest talent, had exceeded a combat power of 10,000 through sheer, brutal fighting.
But from their perspective, this was far from enough.
Especially since their scouters had revealed that Frieza's combat power had already exceeded one billion, a fact that drove them to despair.
Otherwise, with Vegeta's pride, he would never have stayed in hiding for so long.
"Vegeta, why don't we just find a high-level civilization and settle down?" Nappa hesitated before suggesting. "With our current strength, we simply can't contend with Frieza. He's an invincible existence to us. Even now, though we've surpassed our former limits and even broken the boundaries of Saiyan power, we still can't face Frieza head-on."
"This..." Nappa trailed off, his voice uncertain. Over the years, while their strength had grown, their knowledge of Frieza's terrifying power only deepened their despair.
Even as members of the Saiyan warrior race, there was no way they could take on a cosmic emperor like Frieza. The more they learned, the more hopeless they felt.
Raditz, standing to the side, nodded silently. As the weakest in the group and a low-class warrior, he had little say in their discussions. His strength might make him the weakest in their small group, but on other planets, he was already considered top-tier. Wherever he went, he could live a comfortable life.
Given his cautious personality, he had no desire to seek revenge against Frieza, as it was a hopeless endeavor. He had thought about raising this issue many times but didn't dare to speak up due to his low status in the group.
Nappa, at least, was an elite warrior and had some degree of respect.
However...
Hearing Nappa's suggestion, Vegeta's face immediately darkened.
"You fool! What are you saying?" Vegeta roared. "Frieza destroyed the entirety of Planet Vegeta! All the Saiyans were wiped out! How could you even think of forgetting such a grudge?"
Vegeta's face was filled with rage and frustration. Though they currently lacked the strength to defeat Frieza, losing the courage to try would mean they were no longer worthy of being Saiyans.
"Frieza might be incredibly strong, but we have our own advantage. We are Saiyans, the warrior race! The more we fight, the stronger we become! As long as we don't give up, there will eventually come a day when we surpass that bastard!"
"What's more..." Vegeta paused, his tone suddenly resolute. "I've thought it through. The three of us alone can't possibly take down Frieza."
Nappa asked hesitantly, "Then where are we supposed to find help? The universe is vast, and while there are other species with combat potential, their strength is too weak to even qualify as cannon fodder. Are you suggesting... we seek out the Saiyans on Earth?"
Over the years, their scouters had detected information about Earth through Frieza's army.
However, Earth was a place they were unwilling to set foot in. Although it was home to Saiyans, the Saiyans there had grown much stronger and had formed close ties with Frieza's forces. Worse still, those Saiyans were former criminals, making them fundamentally different from Vegeta and his group.
If they dared to approach Earth, they might end up as prisoners.
Naturally, Vegeta dismissed the idea.
"Do you have a death wish?" Vegeta glared at Nappa. "That's not a place we can go. If we go there, we might never return. Survival would already be a problem."
"When we're stronger, we can negotiate with them. For now... we'll have to find another way."
"But..."
Suddenly, Vegeta turned to look at Raditz, and a thought flashed in his mind.
"That's it..."
"Before Planet Vegeta was destroyed, any Saiyans detected with low potential were sent to other planets."
"When Planet Vegeta was destroyed, many of these Saiyans had not yet returned. They might be our hope!"
Vegeta's mind raced as he spoke. After all, Raditz was also a low-class warrior but had remained on Planet Vegeta due to Bardock's intervention.
However...
There were many low-class warriors who had been sent to other primitive planets. Although some of them eventually returned to Planet Vegeta, a significant number never made it back.
Low-class warriors were sent to relatively backward planets, where all sorts of accidents could occur. Additionally, when the recall order was issued, it was mainly small teams on missions that returned. Many individuals were left behind.
If they could find these Saiyans, their team would grow larger and stronger. With more warriors, they could expand their territory and fight farther and harder.
The more they fought, the stronger they would become...
Eventually, they would have a chance to challenge Frieza's level of power.
Hearing Vegeta's plan, Nappa and Raditz's eyes lit up. Raditz, in particular, was thrilled. As the weakest member of the group, he had the lowest status. But if they found other low-class warriors, he could finally hold some authority.
With his current combat power, even some elite warriors who neglected training might not be able to match him.
This was an excellent opportunity to elevate his position!
Unsurprisingly, all three agreed on the plan!
