Chapter 295 - Destroy The World?

On the path that cut through the forest, El with Rinnegan's eyes active, Shana hanging from his waist, stepped slowly, though his mind was filled with questions about the mission given by the System, the destruction of the Tortus World.

El suspected that what the System meant was the total destruction of the planet.

However, currently, even with all his strength, he had not been able to completely destroy the world of Arifureta Shokugyō de Sekai Saikyō in a short period of time.

Various questions continue to rage in his mind. Why did the System give him a Main Mission related to the destruction of the world?

Was this related to his knowledge of the Beyonder's purpose? Or was it because he had reached Authority Level 4?

And most importantly, did he really have to carry out this Mission?

With his current power, destroying the civilization of a planet is not impossible. El could just use the Tengai Shinse a few times, aiming it right above the volcano to trigger a major disaster.

After that, El would only need to amplify it with Heavenly Fire and control the upper reaches of the explosion using Shana.

In this way, the magical balance in that world would collapse, and the planet would experience destruction due to the pressure of the huge kinetic wave of the Tengai Shinse hitting, through the lava into the planet's core time and time again.

In other words, El mimicked the concept of the meteor fall that had destroyed the dinosaur civilization in his world.

However, the impact was much more devastating, the meteors fell right on top of the volcanoes in succession, carrying a terrifying amount of kinetic energy, accelerating the destruction of the planet drastically.

Then for the Core of the world, after El pondered for a moment, realizing that the core of this System's Main Mission must be the Great Tree or better known as the Uralt Great Tree.

The Great Tree of Uralt was not just an ordinary tree. It is a branch of the Astral World Tree, which is connected to the True World. It also contains the Lyutillis Haltina Labyrinth, one of the Great Labyrinths.

Measuring at least 50 meters in circumference and an astonishing height of nearly a kilometer, this tree is not only a symbol of the power of nature, but also the center of the wider world.

Each of the 9 worlds has their own World Tree Branch, and in the world of Arifureta, the Great Tree of Uralt is the main branch that weaves them all together.

According to information circulating in this world, within the astral world, the world directly connected to the Great Tree of Uralt, there is a place called the World's Great Repository of Records.

In this place, any form of knowledge desired by any being can be accessed.

However, due to the vastness of the information, it would overwhelm even divine existences such as gods, let alone humans.

The moment a being tries to acquire knowledge from that storehouse, they will perish.

This feature of the world is similar in concept to the Akashic Record, a place where all past, present, and future knowledge and events are stored.

In addition, although it is only a branch of the World Tree, the Great Tree of Uralt is the main source of an almost unlimited supply of mana.

The energy flowing from this tree is vital to the balance of the world. If this mana supply was depleted, the world itself would begin to break down, no matter what.

El, with great discernment, realized the importance of this tree. To achieve it, he planned to use Perfect Susano'o, which this time was reinforced with his Dou Qi.

With that power, El planned to uproot the tree and take it away, as soon as he received the mission completion notification from the System.

For this world, the time limit was 1 year, considering that El only had one Main Mission.

If things go bad, El can always return to the Reincarnation Room at any time instead of completing the mission. This is because El has the Recall Stone.

This item has the effect of allowing him to jump directly to the end time of a mission in another world, skipping the entire process in between.

With the Recall Stone, El can return at any time without having to complete all the Main Missions or wait for the given time limit.

Although there would be a penalty of 15,000 Points deducted if he didn't complete the Main Mission, it wasn't a big deal, El still had quite a few Points at the moment.

At least, that's what he thought as he walked down the path in the middle of the forest.

El sighed and smiled slightly. "Maybe occasionally not taking the mission too seriously isn't a problem, just consider it entertainment like Sister used to do."

"Anyway, for some reason since I first arrived in this world, I've felt something... as if someone keeps calling me," he murmured with focus.

It was not for nothing that El was walking along this path in the middle of the forest, he was heading towards the source of that call.

The call didn't feel like it came from a human, it had no scent, he didn't understand it, but it still caught his attention.

Surprisingly, El felt absolutely no threat from its presence.

Of course, even though he felt no danger, he still wouldn't let him guard down.

Just as proof, Rinnegan had been active since the beginning of the journey, and even Shana was not kept in the Sky Poison Pearl, just in case something happened.

Kring!

From El's arm, one of the crystal bracelets suddenly vibrated subtly, drawing her attention. While still walking, he raised his hand and touched the bracelet, displaying several message notifications.

[Avatar Preta]: "The main body, the Heavenly Flame in question has been found. It takes the form of a beautifully twisted, yet terrifying pale purple butterfly with flaming green flames. I believe this is the Ghostly Poison Flame."

El's steps stopped instantly, her right eyebrow raised, her expression showing surprise and interest.

"Ghostly Poison Flame? Isn't that flame in the ancient Ghostly Poison Swamp whose location is unknown?"

El recalled the vague information about the Ghostly Poison Flame, a dangerous flame that was said to be hidden in the depths of the ancient Ghost Poison Swamp.

After being submerged in the poison swamp for millions of years, this flame had absorbed endless poisonous air.

In a hundred years, it begins to live; in a thousand years, it is fully formed and reaches maturity.

At this stage, its color tends to be green, resembling a ghostly flame meandering among the swamp miasma.

Because this flame was born and nurtured by miasma, and formed by absorbing strange miasma from between heaven and earth, its power in the realm of miasma is almost immeasurable.

With just one touch, its poison can cause deadly effects.

Especially if one tries to swallow it and fuse it with the body.

That was why, few dared to seek out this Heavenly Fire, and even fewer were aware of its existence.

Normally, to obtain this Heavenly Fire, one would have to hunt it relentlessly, collecting fragment after fragment before it could be synthesized.

But now, it was Avatar Preta who discovered it?

From the very beginning, El had known of the existence of the Heavenly Flame at that location, but had not expected it to be a Ghostly Poison Flame, one of the most poisonous.

A quick thought flashed through his mind.

"Wait... Avatar Preta shouldn't have Sky Pearl Poison. How could she absorb such a poisonous Heavenly Flame?"

Quickly, El typed in a message.

[Adrian]: "How did you get that Heavenly Fire? You don't have Sky Pearl Poison, do you? You should be dead just by touching it."

Kring!

[Avatar Preta]: "That's normally the case. The explanation is a bit long, let me send my experience to make it easier."

Not long after the message was sent, a sudden stream of information flooded his mind.

Avatar Preta's experiences during his time in the Battle Through of Heaven world poured in, making El's eyes dim momentarily as he dived into the memories.

On the other hand, Shana reacted instantly. Reddish-purple light shimmered like stars, enveloping it body with increasing intensity.

Without hesitation, Shana began to absorb Dou Qi from El's body, even without permission. Like a spoiled child demanding attention, that sword took the energy as if it were own.

However, El remained silent, not showing the slightest reaction.
