Qin Yucen was hoisted off her feet by Huo Jingtang, panic overwhelming her. She raised her hands and formed them into fists, pummeling his back with little punches that were so feeble they hardly tingled for him; he wouldn't put her down this easily. He wouldn't allow her to push him onto other women, only to then run away.
Huo Jingtang ignored Qin Yucen's resistance, easily carrying her into the house with steps that hinted no intention of pausing. Approaching the staircase, he ascended step by step.
