~ Next Chapter is—Demon Slayer World!
<><><><>
And speaking of solutions, one couldn't ignore the [Heaven's Feel] ritual—the [Third Magic] from Fateverse.
Mika and Yahweh had been studying it ever since acquiring the knowledge from the Holy Grail.
Unlike other Forms of Magic—the Five Great Magics of Fateverse were incredibly complex, requiring even a Goddess like Yahweh to dedicate significant time and effort to their understanding.
While she could usually grasp common knowledge instantly, even improving upon it—the [Third Magic - Heaven's Feel]—had proven to be a challenge—She had been studying it for quite some time, and while she hadn't fully mastered it yet, she was close.
As for its connection to [Falna]—that stemmed from their search for a suitable replacement for Divine Blood, a catalyst for its evolution beyond human limits.
They had two potential solutions:
First, to replace the Divine Blood with another, even rarer material—While such materials were incredibly scarce, Mika, with his ability to travel between Worlds, could potentially acquire them.
The more Worlds he visited, the higher their chances of success.
However, this was merely a temporary solution, a stopgap measure—After all, both Mika and Yahweh's goals extended far beyond this. Relying on external materials for growth had its limits.
Eventually, he would reach a point where even the rarest substances in the multiverse wouldn't be enough to further enhance his [Falna]. Of course, such a scenario was still far in the future. For now, he could use this method to level up and even—Ascend.
Their Second option involved the [Heaven's Feel] ritual.
Once mastered, it would grant Mika access to—infinite Magic Power—While the quality of that Power might be lower than Divine Blood, quantity, in this case, could compensate for quality. With infinite Magic Power, he could simply—accumulate it until it reached the required threshold.
Of course, these were merely theoretical solutions.
Both had their drawbacks.
The first, relying on rare materials, required developing a method for extracting and refining their essence, reverting them to their primordial state—transforming them into a Divine substance capable of replacing Divine Blood.
The second, using [Heaven's Feel], required finding a way to compensate for the lower quality of its Magic Power—After all, no amount of ants, even a swarm large enough to devour a human, could ever truly become a human.
These were the challenges Mika now faced. And his next task was to overcome them, alongside Yahweh.
Therefore, he wouldn't be visiting any new Worlds for a while, even though he had access to more. He needed time to reflect, to plan his next move, and to begin his journey towards Godhood, a realm now within his reach.
"So, for now—my priority is Heaven's Feel…" he mused.
His interest in the ritual wasn't solely for modifying the [Falna] system. It was also because of its…compatibility with his own Powers—its potential to enhance his strength significantly. After all, [Heaven's Feel]—at its core—was about the Materialization of the Soul.
And this manifested in two aspects: Soul Manipulation and Energy Manipulation.
He no longer remembered the original Third Magic's true nature.
The version he and Yahweh were studying was her own interpretation, refined and adapted with Mika and Mellie's help. After all, humans in different Worlds weren't the same.
While he could utilize Magic in the Type-Moon World—once he and Yahweh decided to incorporate it into the [Falna] system—modifications were necessary.
Mika's version focused on energy and soul manipulation, tailored to his specific needs.
His [Falna] had granted him [Heavenly Fire: Calamity Annihilation]—revealing his affinity for Fire—Light, Heat, Destruction, and raw energy.
This made him incredibly compatible with the Power of Light.
And his mastery of soul manipulation resonated with his affinity for the UnderWorld, a connection he hadn't anticipated, perhaps a sign of—Destiny.
Furthermore, his research into the [Heaven's Feel] ritual was also a way for him to deepen his understanding of magecraft. While he preferred fighting like a warrior, his interest in the more esoteric arts had never waned.
———
And so, Mika, the warrior, embarked on his journey as a researcher, focusing on three key objectives:
Modifying the [Falna] system.
Mastering the [Heaven's Feel] ritual.
Achieving the [8th Sense].
These were the stepping stones to his Ascension, the final preparations for his transformation into a God.
He immersed himself in his research. However, he wasn't the type to remain cooped up in his lab for years.
Therefore, every two months or so, he would lead Alise and the others on dungeon expeditions, a way to alleviate the stress of his research and vent his frustrations—After all, none of his current projects were easy; they required countless hours of trial and error, each failure a valuable lesson.
Meanwhile, his plan to spread the [Breath Styles] and [Body Enhancement Techniques]—with the Guild's support—was proceeding smoothly. His message of Creating heroes resonated throughout Orario, amplified by the Gods, who, too, desired stronger champions.
And during this time, Mika subtly revealed more of his true strength, his [Falna] level officially updated to 7, earning him a new title:
—[God of War].
———
"God of War—? A Divine title… Has that ever happened before?" The adventurers gathered around the Guild's notice board, buzzing with excitement!
In a World where Gods walked among them, bestowing such a title upon a mortal was unprecedented!
However, there were no objections.
Mika's actions had benefited countless people, especially the weaker adventurers, who formed the majority.
And in Orario, it wasn't strength alone that held sway—but the whims of the Gods—who valued entertainment above all else.
They approved of Mika's efforts to Create heroes, hoping his methods would uncover hidden talents within their own Familias—transforming average stones into precious gems.
After all, an adventurer's potential wasn't fixed.
A single event, a moment of crisis, could trigger a transformation.
And in the dungeon—the greatest catalyst for growth was the constant threat of death. While few survived such trials, those who did often emerged stronger—their potential unlocked.
The [Breath Styles] and [Body Enhancement Techniques] increased the odds of survival, giving these adventurers a fighting chance.
The Gods, recognizing the potential for a new golden age of heroes—were pleased. And Mika, having reached Level 7—was due for a new title.
Normally, a title bestowed upon reaching Level 2, often chosen for its—amusing qualities, would remain unchanged throughout an adventurer's career.
As they leveled up, their titles might be revised to reflect their growing strength and accomplishments.
Upon reaching Level 5, a title became a mark of respect—a recognition of their status as heroes in the eyes of the Gods.
And since Powerful adventurers, and the Familias that nurtured them, weren't to be trifled with, bestowing a disrespectful title upon a Level 5 adventurer would be—unwise.
Even the Gods had to be cautious. In the original story, several Gods, envious of Bell Cranel's rapid progress and Hestia's luck, had considered giving him a humiliating title, only to be dissuaded by Freya. This was why the lower-level members of the Freya and Loki Familias rarely had embarrassing titles.
Normally, a title bestowed upon reaching Level 5 would remain unchanged.
Like Brave Hero—Finn, Nine Hells—Riveria, and Elgarm—Gareth.
However, Mika's circumstances were unique.
The smaller Familias, the ones who had benefited most from his actions, had been especially vocal in their support. While they wouldn't offer any material rewards – after all, Gods loved a free show – one of them had suggested a new, more fitting title for Mika during the Divine Conference.
The others, eager to join in, had quickly escalated the praise, until finally, someone suggested "
The Gods, unconcerned with sharing a Divine title with a mortal, readily agreed. After all, they lived among humans now.
Previously, such a title hadn't been bestowed simply because no one had been deemed worthy. The only possible candidate had been Alfia, but her illness had limited her potential.
Now, however, Mika, a Young Level 7 with strength far surpassing his level, and without any apparent limitations, seemed like the perfect candidate.
In their eyes, he was the Hero they had been waiting for, the one who could potentially save their World.
Combined with his recent contributions, they bestowed upon him the Most Prestigious Title!
———
———
"It's the God of War!"
"Such a fitting title for Mika-sama."
"Of course! He's our pride!"
Mika walked through the manor, smiling and greeting his Familia members, their voices filled with praise and admiration.
"God of War, huh?" He couldn't help but feel a surge of pride. While he didn't care much for titles, being the first to receive such an honor was satisfying.
"You seem pleased with yourself. Parading around, basking in their admiration…if the others knew, they'd be shocked," Yahweh said, approaching him with Astraea, a playful smile on her face.
"So what if they do?" he retorted, unfazed. "There's nothing wrong with enjoying a little…praise."
"You're incorrigible." Mellie shook her head, then looked at him seriously. "Are you ready for your next journey?"
"I'm always ready," he replied. After his long period of research and training, he was eager to explore once more, not the familiar landscapes of Orario, but the uncharted territories of other Worlds.
