JAYDEN'S POV
"Hey mum" I said greeting my mum when I got home
"Hey baby, how was your day and how was school?" Mum asked exiting the kitchen with a bottle of water
"T'was okay" I replied hugging her
"Here, drink this. You look so tired and pale like you haven't been eating " Mum said worriedly
"I'm fine mum, just a bit tired" I told her after taking a few gulps of water then headed to my room
"Ooh I have good news to give you" She said making me stop and look back at her
"What's up?" I asked her
"Let's discuss it over dinner. Go get some rest in the meantime" she said and I turned then headed to my room
Today wasn't that bad really. At least I got to teach that girl a lesson
"Who does she think she is uhn? Trying to mess with me and go unscathed" I said to myself as I looked at the handsome and hot guy that was staring back at me in the bathroom's mirror. I just finished taking a shower and couldn't help but admire myself for a while
I took out my phone while heading back to my room. I sat on my bed and played the video that was posted earlier this morning. I smirked feeling a bit satisfied
I tossed my phone aside and took out my assignments. I had just finished when I heard my mom's voice
"Time for dinner dear, come down quickly" Mum yelled from downstairs
I took my phone and headed downstairs
"Come sit" Mum said
The maids immediately started dishing the food and we began to eat
Halfway through dinner, I heard mom's voice
"You remember my friend whom I told you about? My best friend?" Mum asked me
"Ooh yeah, the one whom you lost contact with right?" I asked
"Yes" she replied
"What about her?" I asked not understanding why she brought it up
"She's moving in with us this Saturday" mum said excitedly
"Ooohkay....." I said still not getting why she was telling me
"She decided to stay with us but she gave a condition" mum said looking a bit sad
"What condition?" I asked
"She said she won't be comfortable leaving with us for free and that she wants to work as a maid here" mum said
'Woah.... I was not expecting that. Who wouldn't want to live here for free?' I thought to myself
"Her daughter also wants to work with her mother. I had no choice but to agree coz I wanted her to stay with us. I've missed her so much" Mum said with a sad smile on her face
"She's your friend mum, how would you agree to let her work as a maid in your own house" I asked
"Well that's what she thinks. I'm actually going to assign her as the chief maid, so she won't have to do anything. Just make sure the other maids are doing their jobs well" Mum said happily
"Ooh..... What about her daughter then" I asked
"I'll find something not to difficult for her too" mum said and continued eating
"Okay, that sounds nice" I said
"She's about your age too so I'm sure you guys will get along pretty well" Mum said with a mischievous grin on her face
"Don't be too wishful mum" I said and got up to leave after finishing my dinner
"We'll see about that" mum replied
"Whatever" I said and left the dining area heading to my room
JASMINE'S POV
"Come down quickly jazzy" I heard mum's voice from downstairs
"Coming" I yelled from my room and grabbed my suit case before hurriedly leaving my room
I got downstairs and the driver helped me load my luggage into the boot
Mum and I stared back at our house for the last time before getting into the car with the driver
Saturday came faster than I had expected. Thankfully, I didn't get into any trouble with the bullies for the rest of the week. It was just Tiffany and I
"TIFFANY" I yelled and hit my head with my palm
"What's wrong dear" mum asked worriedly
"I forgot to tell Tiffany that we're moving today" I said and immediately took out my phone to call Tiffany
"It's fine. She's a sensible child, I'm sure she'll understand" mum said
"Hey Tiffany" I said immediately I the call got connected
"What's up babe" Tiffany said
"I have something to tell you" I said fidgeting with my nails
"Okay" she said
"I should have told you earlier but it totally slipped my mind. I'm sorry" I apologised
"Ookay..." Tiffany replied
"I'm moving today" I said
"WHATTTTT" I heard her yelling over the phone
"How could you have forgotten to tell me about it? I should have come to help you pack up you silly girl" she said and I was a bit surprised
"You're not angry?" I asked her
"Why would I be? We all forget things sometimes. It's fine. I'm just sad that I couldn't help you" she said
"No no, it's fine. There wasn't much to pack anyways" I said
"Okay, send me your new address okay. I'll come by later today to help out " Tiffany said
"We're actually moving in with mum's friend " I said
"Oooh okay then. Still send me your new address though. I'll come visit you tomorrow " Tiffany said
"Okay then, I'll text it to you when we get there" I said
"Okay babe. Bye" Tiffany said and the call got disconnected
I'm actually relieved that Tiffany wasn't upset. I looked out the window to see the beautiful mansions in the estate. I was still lost in my thoughts when my mum called me
"Jasmine, we're here" she said
I got out of the car and was dumbfounded by the sight in front of me. Of all the mansions we passed by, this one has to be the biggest one. I don't even know if I can still call it a mansion. It looks like something from one of the fictional stories I read
There was a huge and beautiful fountain right ahead of us. I don't know if it's a real or fake one though. The water from the top seems to be pouring down but it doesn't overflow when it reaches the bottom. I was still looking at the fountain when my eyes caught hold of a gold statue that looked like a man and woman embracing each other
This is all so fascinating. I didn't even realise my mouth was opened until mum hit my lower jaw with her hand drawing me out of my thoughts
"Let's go inside" mum said taking my hands into hers
"Are you sure we're in the right place?" I asked mum starting to have doubts
"Of course we are. I've been here before" mum said smiling at me
"If you say so" I said and we continued walking
"VERONICA" mum and I stopped immediately we heard someone yelling her name
I looked ahead and saw a really beautiful woman who looked like she was about the same age as mum. She wore a simple dress with a really bright and beautiful smile on her pretty face.
I turned to see mum running towards the beautiful woman. They embraced each other tightly acting like little children
I walked towards them smiling as I watched them displaying their childish behaviour
"Good morning ma" I greeted with a slight bow
"Oh dear, jazzy. Look how much you've grown" she said touching my cheeks affectionately
I don't think we've met before but I feel like we have. I just stared at her with a smile on my face not knowing what to say
"You look so pretty just like your mum" she said again still staring at me
"Thank you ma" I replied
"Oh my! Do I look so old?x she suddenly asked touching her face
I didn't quite get what she meant
"No, of course not" I replied
"Then why do you address me as ma? You can just call me aunty" she said with a smile and I finally understood what she meant
I didn't say anything but smiled instead
"Come on let's go inside" she said holding mine and mum's hand
I remember being dumbfounded when I saw the mansion at first, being inside the mansion now, I'm really speechless
The interior design of the mansion is really better than the exterior design. It was so breathtaking
I was still lost in thoughts when I heard my name
"Miss Jasmine, this way please" a beautiful young lady dressed in a maid's uniform said to me
I nodded and followed her until we got to a huge room which was beautifully decorated in the most simple way ever
"This is yours and Madam Veronica's room. Lunch will be served in the next one hour" the maid said
"Okay thank you" I said and bowed slightly
She also bowed and turned to leave
I was alone in the room and couldn't help but admire it. The room was painted in white with all the furnitures also white. I proceeded to the bathroom then to the closet and everything there was also in white
I went back to the bedroom then sat on the bed which was super bouncy. I was still enjoying the bouncy bed when I heard a knock at the door
"Come in" I said getting up
"These are your luggages miss" the driver from earlier said
"Ooh thank you sir" I said with a slight bow and brought the luggages inside after the driver left
I started to arrange our clothes in the closet and mom also came to join me. Minutes later, we were done arranging the new room. We heard a knock on the door and I turned to open the door
"Good afternoon auntie" I said greeting Aunt Victoria
"How are you my dear? Hope you're not exhausted" Aunt Victoria asked
"No, I'm fine" I replied
"You both come down for lunch okay" Aunt Victoria said and smiled at my mum before leaving
Mum and I left the room and headed to the huge dining room where food was already arranged neatly on the table with cutleries and plates also placed neatly at the front of each seat
Someone who didn't know better would think they're was going to be a feat with lots of people coming to eat
Mum and I took our seat at the table and we all started eating quietly
"Hello, where are you? You know I told you someone very important was coming and you need to be present here for lunch" Aunt Victoria said all at once
She's probably talking to her son. I heard mum mention she had a son about my age
"Be home before dinner okay" Aunt Victoria said before disconnecting the call
"Is everything alright Vicky?" Mum asked
"Oh yes, he's out with friends and he'll be back before dinner" Aunt Victoria said
"Okay" mum said and we continued eating
After lunch, Aunt Victoria took mum and I to the garden and we chatted for a long time and got to know each other better. I even found out that her son also attends Elites Academy. I became even more eager to meet him after hearing all about him from Aunt Veronica. I also found out that I'll be her son's personal helper
I left mum with Aunt and went back to the room.
'I wonder what her son looks like. Is he cute?' I thought to myself
It was kinda strange that I couldn't find any picture of her son around the house
I took my phone and decided to call Tiffany. I told her about all that happened since we got here and I fell asleep afterwards
"It's time for dinner miss" I heard a voice and I opened my eyes slowly to find the maid from earlier staring at me with a worried smile on her face
"Are you okay miss?" She suddenly asked
"Yes, I'm fine" I said nervously and cleaned the sweat on my forehead
I lied. I'm not fine. I had a nightmare about living in the same house with JAYDEN
"Hey mum, hi aunt" I greeted as I sat at the dining table for dinner
"Hey baby" mum said
"Hope you slept well dear" Aunt Victoria said
"Yes aunt" I replied and smiled nervously then proceeded to eat
"Hey mum"
'Wait, I recognise that voice' I was still thinking to myself when Aunt Victoria confirmed my guess
"Oh Jayden, you're late" Aunt Victoria said
"Yo..you...your son I..iii...is J... Jayden?" I asked stammering
"Yes, he is. Do you know each other?" Aunt Victoria asked
"Look who we have here" Jayden said with a smirk
'Does this means I'll be Jayden's personal maid???' I thought to myself and shook my head violently
"No, no, no way, this is not possible, this can't be happening" I said and burst into tear
"Baby what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Mum asked embracing me
"No mum, we have to leave here now" I said still in tears
"What's going on Jazzy? Talk to us" Aunt Victoria said
"I can't do this, I just can't " I said and ran to the room
