Somewhere in the outskirts of asia residence could feel a disturbance in the atmosphere. The temperatures were abnormally higher this year; although, they couldn't tell what exactly was wrong, they knew something wasn't right.
Inside one of the houses a young man in his early twenties opened his eyes.
"Mom! He awake!" A little girl yelled as she ran towards an older women.
The women was wear a long dress that had visible sign of tear. You could tell at a glance she has had that dress for quite a few years.
"Hello! I'm Amel and this is my daughter Amy. My husband saw you in the forest while hunting? Do you know how and why you were there?" Amel said in a worried voice.
"Thank you? Do you know what day is it?" The young man said with a stoic expression.
"Its May 12th, 2028? Did you perhaps lose your memory too?" Amel said even more worried.
"No I didn't, you don't have to worry. Do you have a phone I can use?" The man replied.
Amel nodded. She turned to Amy and told her to go fetch the phone. Amy didn't take long to find the phone and in just under 3 minutes she came back.
The phone was an older model, even though it was a touch screen it had obvious signs of wear and tear.
The young man thanked them and started dialing a phone number.
Amel took Amys hands and walked out the room to give the young man some privacy.
"Honey!? Are you okay? Me and your dads been looking for you everywhere? Where are you? We'll send someone for you right now!" A calming yet worried voice rang from the phone.
"Mom?" The young man said. You could hear his voice tremble with shock. When he dialed the number he truthfully didn't expect anyone to answer the phone.
Hearing his moms voice made him even more sure that something was wrong this time. He came from the future where portals or gates pop up randomly around the world. The great catastrophe. Everytime he tries to prevent it, he dies and comes back in time.
But this time is different.
While dialing his moms phone he also checked his body and saw scars thats he previously never had in the 74 times he went back in time.
For the past 70 lives he had made it a ritual that everytime he goes back in time to dial his moms number. In his original timeline she had died when he was 15. Both his mom and dad died in a car accident. But in this life they're still alive. Something was wrong.
"M-mom... I'll text you the address." The young man replied before quickly ending the call.
He spent the next 30 minutes staring into nowhere. He didn't know what happened to cause this change. He had no memory or recollection of his past. After 74 lives they just blurr.
While he was deep in thought Amel came in with a warm bowl of soup and sat it down next to the bed.
"I made some warm chicken noodle soup for you. If you need anything else just ask Amy." Amel said with a warm smile.
"Um, I actually do need something. Whats your address? My mother will come pick me up." The young man asked.
Amel quickly agreed and sent the young mans mother the address.
This was the most he's spoken to this family in all of his 74 lives. Usually he would just say thank you and disappeared quietly while they're not looking.
Now that his mom and dad was still alive he knew that in this life he couldn't fuck up. He would protect his mom and dad and won't let them die in this life.
It took about 3 hours for his mom to arrive which was expected. The moment the car stopped she ran out the car and went to the door.
Amy open the door and led her towards the young man.
"Kameron? How did you even get here? You went missing two days ago!" She said while crying.
She didn't want another incident to happen like what happened when he was younger.
After making sure Kameron was okay she gave Amel fifty thousand dollars. She was so greatful to them. She didn't know what could've happened if they didn't find Kameron.
After settling everything at Amels house she immediately took Kameron with her and brought him home.
