Gu Shi Yi whistled towards the lake, his eyes squinting playfully as he called out,
"Babe, nice figure!"
Turning around, Pu Yanlan shot him a glance,
"How much did you drink? Spouting drunken nonsense the moment you return!"
Gu Shi Yi chuckled, a mischievous grin on his face,
"Babe, come up and give me a hug, and I'll share some news with you, how about that?"
Seeing his laughter mingling three parts pretense with seven parts sincerity, Pu Yanlan knew something was up. She climbed out of the lake and into the wooden hut, gathering her damp hair as she questioned,
"What news have you heard while you were out?"
Gu Shi Yi lay down on a nearby soft couch, watching Pu Yanlan release her spiritual power to evaporate the water from her body. He sighed and his expression turned serious,
"The Imperial Wolf King and that Immortal Lady are getting married. They've returned from the continent across the sea and brought back quite a few captives from the Human Race..."
