"Dad, why did you back out again?" Jin Nanxi whiffed as she complained, "You stepped on my foot."
Elder Master Jin turned back, shot her a glare, and prodded with his cane accidentally poking Jin Nanxi on the top of her foot.
She had just been stepped on, and now she was poked; Jin Nanxi let out a loud 'ow'.
"Father, you shouldn't..."
"Shut up, what's the big deal about stepping on you? What if you wake Niannian up? Let her sleep."
Elder Master Jin was completely oblivious to the fact that his cane had poked Jin Nanxi's foot. Seeing her exaggerated screams, he feared waking Xu Niannian and shouted even louder, trying to drown out his daughter's voice.
Jin Nanxi was dumbfounded by her father's fiery temper, looking at him incredulously.
She was so wronged but speechless. Seeing her quiet down, Elder Master Jin finally breathed a sigh of relief.
