"Kakashi… you think we can handle all this?"
Asuma struggled to keep calm.
He'd thought the previous outbreak of C-virus monsters had been terrifying enough. Who could've expected something even worse?
"Whether we can or not, we have to. If we retreat, who will protect the village?"
Kakashi responded firmly.
He too was under immense pressure—but retreat was not an option!
"All shinobi, throw explosive tags—now!"
Kakashi gave the order.
At once, all Chūnin and Jōnin hurled kunai wrapped in explosive tags.
A storm of kunai rained down upon the monsters, triggering countless explosions.
Blood and flesh flew everywhere, limbs scattered across the battlefield as many monsters were blown apart.
But among the horde were many swift creatures—
Feline beasts, simian horrors, wolf-like predators, and a large number of flying monsters.
They dodged the kunai and explosions and rapidly advanced toward the village.
"Leaf Great Whirlwind!"
Might Guy was the first to act, unleashing a flurry of spinning kicks that sent the nearest monsters flying.
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"
"Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!"
Other Jōnin followed, unleashing powerful ninjutsu to blast away the monsters at the frontlines.
Any that weren't finished off by jutsu were quickly taken down in close combat by nearby comrades.
"It's no use! There are too many of them!"
"Quick, bring more supplies!"
"Keep the kunai and explosive tags coming!"
Despite their best efforts, the wave of monsters seemed endless.
No one dared ease up. They couldn't afford to slow the pace of their attacks.
Support Chūnin working in logistics were practically running themselves ragged to keep up the supply of tools.
"BIG ONES COMING!"
A shinobi shouted out in alarm.
From the middle of the horde, a group of monsters—each over a hundred meters tall—was trampling the smaller ones as they advanced toward Konoha.
Seeing the sheer size of these beasts, even Kakashi's face darkened.
"Are those summon beasts?! No… they're bigger than the Nine-Tails!"
Asuma's voice trembled in disbelief.
"No time to be scared! We'll have to take them head-on! Climb to their heads and attack the weak spots!"
Kakashi was ready—if they got any closer, he would jump and pierce their necks with Raikiri.
"Summoning Technique!"
Just then, Naruto's voice echoed across the battlefield.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Three massive clouds of white smoke erupted, revealing three giant toads—each over several dozen meters tall—standing before the gates of Konoha.
"Whoa! Those are Jiraiya-sama's summon beasts!"
Kakashi was stunned at first, thinking Jiraiya had returned.
But atop Gamabunta's head stood Naruto.
He had already tapped into the Nine-Tails' chakra, his body glowing with red chakra, and four tails flaring behind him.
With this power, Naruto could summon even the strongest of the toads with ease!
"Alright! Gamabunta-ossan! Gamaken! Gamahiro! Let's do this!"
Naruto shouted, fired up.
"Hey! I'm the boss! Those two are my little brothers!"
Gamabunta grumbled at being casually addressed.
"Got it! After we beat these monsters, I'll fix how I call you!"
Naruto brushed it off without a care.
"Tch… where the hell did all these monsters come from?!"
Gamabunta didn't have time to worry about titles—his face turned grim at the sight of the endless horde before them. He had never heard of monsters like these.
"It's a long story. Let's just fight!"
As Naruto shouted, the three massive toads unsheathed their weapons and charged into the horde.
With their sheer size, they needed no techniques—just moving forward crushed or sent the smaller monsters flying.
Upon reaching the towering hundred-meter beasts—
Gamabunta unleashed a mighty sword slash.
Gamahiro followed up with dual blades, slicing from impossible angles.
Gamaken thrust his massive naginata forward!
Several of the colossal monsters were either cleaved in half or run through on the spot!
"Tch. All bark, no bite."
After testing their strength, Gamabunta scoffed and began cutting down the giants one by one.
Flying monsters swooped in, but Naruto leapt into the air, and with the boost from the Nine-Tails, he used powerful taijutsu to knock them all away.
Seeing Naruto lead the charge with the summon beasts, many Jōnin were left speechless.
Especially Iruka and Kakashi, who were most familiar with him—their expressions were indescribable.
"Is that really Naruto? How did he become this strong? And that chakra… what is it?"
Kakashi couldn't believe his eyes.
This was the same Naruto who used to be clumsy and only relied on guts and willpower?
The transformation was simply… unreal.

Suddenly, thunderous footsteps echoed.
Each one shook the entire Hidden Leaf Village.
From the back of the horde, a 500-meter-tall chameleon monster slowly approached.
Every step it took crushed hordes of its own kind underfoot.
The chameleon glanced at the three giant toads putting on a spectacular display—then slowly opened its mouth.
Its tongue shot out in an instant—
BOOM!
Gamabunta, Gamahiro, and Gamaken were all struck simultaneously and sent flying into the sky!
