Dealing with the League of Villains was both easy and hard at the same time.
In the case of Kurogiri, Aizawa and Mic were able to handle the situation pretty well, thanks to the damage and the cybernetics implanted into the body of their old friend. The only thing left for them to do now is to wait for the surgery to remove the implants and take him to one of the best psychiatrists they can find, in order to help restore his mind to full strength.
It almost felt similar to the Captain America–Winter Soldier situation. Hopefully, they won't have to go somewhere like Wakanda to completely heal him in the end. Nezu is also looking into it, so they surely have hope of eventually erasing the personality created by All For One within him.
Next up was Magne. From what it seems, even though she looks like a guy, she is actually a girl. Her Quirk, called Polarity, is what changed her from a woman's body to that of a man's. But the sudden change in gender was not welcomed by the people around her. Even her closest friends shut her out. The first place that accepted her completely was the League of Villains. So, her allegiance is firmly rooted there. When we promised that everything we were doing was to ensure their safety in the end, she promptly surrendered.
We were also testing whether she could return to her original gender. Since it was her Quirk that changed her physical body in the first place, there was a chance she could reverse it as well. Hagakure's Quirk was one such case; nowadays, she can completely turn it off and participate in many activities with the other girls—activities she had been unable to do before.
It also seems that Hagakure's Quirk protected her from the sun's rays, while the food she consumed ensured she had sufficient vitamin D. Let's just say the clear and almost flawless skin she had earned envious glances not only from the female students but also from the teachers. Well, that's a story for another time, I guess.
For now, the research is heading in a promising direction, and sooner or later, Magne will be able to return to the self she wants to be.
Then comes the case of Himiko Toga. The first thing everyone noticed was her pale skin—similar to how vampires are portrayed in old movies—but that wasn't the relevant issue. The real concern was the clear signs of iron deficiency, which were detected during a basic checkup conducted by the compassionate doctors. After a thorough round of tests, they were able to identify additions to her Quirk that had significantly impacted her life.
"Additions" can be considered sub-Quirks—traits that every Quirk naturally has to support the primary Quirk and connect it to the user's body. For example, Bakugo's Quirk is Explosion, but the records don't specify that his arms are explosion-resistant. Without this addition, his Quirk would have destroyed his limbs a long time ago. The same applies to Ashido Mina, whose Quirk is Acid Creation. Along with that, she has the additions of acid storage and acid resistance. Her pink skin tone is due to her body storing highly concentrated acid within her skin, which she can use in emergencies. Her resistance even extends to acids she doesn't create herself.
In Toga's case, her Quirk allows her to transform into others using a small sample of their DNA in the form of their blood with the duration depending on the amount of blood she consumes. This is only relevant on other homo sapien species and she is also able to use the person's quirk she is transforming into, but that requires deep emotional connection with the person she is transforming into. This came with several additions. Her enhanced speed, agility, and flexibility were actually the result of these traits being embedded into her body via her Quirk which required her body to be a bit more malleable than normal bodies for her to transform, allowing her to survive and even defeat pro heroes in battle. Most of the time, she was able to kill pro heroes with surprising ease.
But this came at a cost. Her body achieved such feats by expelling iron instead of storing it. And since her Quirk required a steady supply of blood—which is naturally rich in iron—her body likely determined that storing iron was unnecessary. This led to severe malnutrition, which eventually developed into psychological issues. The doctors quickly discovered that her obsession with blood and her tendency to cut others were symptoms of this deficiency, caused by her Quirk's internal logic.
What was even more tragic was that it could have been detected with just a few standard checkups by any competent doctor. But based on the background checks we conducted on her now-deceased parents, they were more concerned with their social reputation than their daughter's wellbeing. They refused to admit that their child had a Quirk that required blood. There is also substantial evidence that she suffered daily abuse at their hands. Psychologists unanimously agreed that their presence had only deepened the psychological wounds she was already battling.
It took only five days for the research students in the U.A. support department to develop a nutritional supplement that could substitute for the iron her body was lacking. After receiving the first dose, she was kept under observation for 24 hours, and the results were promising. Her physical health showed immediate improvement. Within a few weeks, her mental state had stabilized to the point where she no longer exhibited her earlier tendencies, such as an obsession with making others bleed. The doctors reported observing healthy emotional responses that had never been present before. After a round of rehabilitation, she will be both physically and mentally stable enough to be reintroduced into society.
Additionally, switching her diet to the newly created nutrient-rich food led to noticeable changes in her appearance—improved skin tone, absence of scratch marks near her eyes, and a completely different look from what she had before. This means she will be able to hide her former identity quite easily, should she ever choose to reintegrate into society.
