"A million years later."
"Prometheus, you may begin the creation of the world."
"Yes!"
At Athena's command, Prometheus respectfully bowed his head, his expression turning serious.
The creation of the world!
The creation of mankind!
These two tasks were the most critical for Sanctuary. After all, Sanctuary was not a powerful force, and in order to improve and advance, it would have to rely on this opportunity to create the world and mankind. Only through this could they achieve true growth.
Otherwise!
Many problems would inevitably arise.
"You may leave."
"Yes!"
Prometheus withdrew, while Athena sat silently, deep in thought, quietly seated upon her divine throne, awaiting the time for everything to begin.
...
It wasn't just Athena.
In fact!
When the news of the creation of the world in a million years spread, all the gods prepared themselves. Everyone was eagerly waiting for the moment to come.
Finally, the time had arrived.
Everything!
It was finally about to begin.
The era of racial conflicts was on the horizon. Since the Earth Goddess had willingly shattered the foundation of humanity as the absolute central race, it was time to see what would happen. This would be an era of competition among various races.
Who would say!
That in this era, I am destined to lose?
That's impossible.
For this reason.
The gods prepared, eagerly awaiting this chance, even if it might truly be their one and only opportunity.
However.
Even if it was just one chance, it would still be enough to alter everything.
The gods' eyes sharpened as they eagerly waited.
For a while.
The once chaotic mortal realm gradually returned to a peaceful state, very calm indeed. The gods began to restrain the races they had created, knowing now was not the time to continue fighting.
Waiting!
Waiting!
Waiting for the new era to arrive—that was the most important thing. As the new era dawned, everything would fall under control, and that would be the true moment of contention.
The gods were waiting.
At the same time!
As the gods waited, the three God-Kings also awaited the coming of the new era.
...
In the Elysium Fields.
"The game is about to begin."
Hades spoke slowly, his voice calm. His deep black eyes, which seemed to contain all things, gazed into the distance, as though he had already seen everything that would happen in the future.
"My husband."
Persephone pondered briefly before speaking, "Isn't there a risk of something going wrong in this game?"
Hades remained calm as he replied, "I don't know. Even I don't know how this game will turn out. The Earth Goddess has prepared everything thoroughly, and though I know part of it, I can't claim to have perfect control over the situation."
Hades' voice was steady. Did he know about the Earth Goddess' preparations?
Yes, he knew!
In fact, he knew quite a bit, even everything, if you wanted to put it more bluntly. But!
This isn't something as simple as merely knowing.
Even if he knew everything, what difference would it make?
These matters!
Aren't things that can just be dismissed as having no problem.
Precisely for this reason!
This was the crux of the matter. After all, she was the Earth Goddess. Just because she had made her preparations, did that mean Hades was guaranteed to win?
Hades was confident that he would win.
But that confidence didn't mean underestimating his opponent.
Strategically, he underestimated her; tactically, he respected her.
No matter the circumstances, Hades would never be careless. This was an extremely important matter.
No one!
No one could afford to underestimate the Earth Goddess. That would be akin to making a joke.
After a moment of thought, Hades continued, "Besides, Poseidon and Polaris have also made their preparations, and the gods themselves are preparing. No one knows how this game will turn out."
Persephone listened quietly to her husband's words.
Despite what he said.
She knew that deep down, her husband had absolute confidence.
As for the outcome of this war?
In truth!
It was obvious from the start.
Persephone had absolute confidence in her husband. The victory of this war was inevitable.
Failure?!
Perhaps from the very beginning, that word was never in their dictionary.
It was almost impossible, wasn't it?
With confidence in her heart, Persephone listened as Hades continued, "Persephone, you go handle this matter. Arrangements in the far north can be made now as well."
"Also."
"Mephisto."
"Yes, my lord!" Persephone stood up and left with Eris, while as the two goddesses departed, Mephisto arrived in Elysium. He knelt gracefully on one knee, full of respect, and said, "Greetings, Your Majesty!"
Hades spoke calmly, "Mephisto, as the creation begins and humanity is born again, the age of heroes will soon arrive. This is your opportunity. Seize it. I do not wish for you to ascend to the level of a God-King merely by riding the coattails of the Underworld's rise."
"Your Majesty!"
"I understand!!!"
Mephisto's eyes were sharp, filled with determination as he nodded vigorously.
Clearly!
Mephisto had never expected his lord to personally remind him. At this moment, Mephisto was filled with excitement. What did this prove? It had already proven one thing!
His lord valued him greatly.
In fact.
Hades did hold Mephisto in high regard. As his first subordinate god, and!
Mephisto's abilities were truly outstanding.
While Hypnos and Thanatos were currently managing the Underworld, before that, it had been Mephisto who handled all the dirty and difficult tasks.
He was a loyal veteran.
Naturally, Hades would not treat him poorly. Mephisto would first gather the souls of the seven deadly sins from heroes and use them to ascend to the level of a God-King. Once the Underworld had fully nurtured the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, he could advance even further.
If!
If Mephisto couldn't accomplish this, then there was nothing more that could be done. In this case, Hades wouldn't provide any further help, only making arrangements for others.
