The trip went smoothly, nothing out of the ordinary happened, just a normal and quiet train trip until we reached Celadon city.
After getting off the train and with a lot of energy thanks to the nap we had taken on the train, we decided to start our journey to Fuchsia City. To make it easier for you to understand, there were several ways to get there, the first by train, the second by car, the third by bus, the fourth was through the Cycling Road, the fifth was through Lavender City while the last was an alternative path to the Cycling Road, that is, walking all the way.
After arriving to Celadon City, we started to think about how we should go to Fuchsia City, to begin with, we ruled out any means of transport except for the bicycle, we also ruled out the possibility of going to Lavender City because it would be a 4 times longer way than if we went from the other path, so there were only two options, go by the Cycling Road or walk by the alternative path. With the first option, it would take us only a couple of hours to get there and seeing what time it was, it would give me time perfectly to challenge Koga (if he is in the gym), while if we are walking we would take more than 8 hours to arrive there and we would have to camp outdoors, but then many will ask: How is it possible that using the Cycling Road takes 2 hours while walking takes 8 hours? It doesn't make any sense. Well, it's actually simpler than it seems. The Cycling road establishes a direct path in a straight line towards Fuchsia City, while the alternative path takes many detours and takes much longer, it's that simple.
"Well, that's it, I vote to go by bike" – Celeste said.
"I think the same as Celeste, I think that going on the bike path will be an experience, after all, so far I have only been on the Hoenn one and I would like to try the Kanto one" – Roxanne nodded.
"Also, if we go on a bike it will give Ash time to challenge Koga, everytjin are advantages" – Celeste said.
"Exactly" - Roxanne nodded.
"What you don't want is to camp..." – I said.
"Did you say anything?" - they both asked.
"This... I say I agree, let's rent three bikes right now" – I said somewhat nervously.
Believe me, it's not that I'm a beta or anything like that, but it's better not to make these women angry if I can avoid it.
"Okay, let's go" – Celeste nodded.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.
She was also excited to go on a bike, it would her first time.
Without any other choice, we headed towards the Cycling Road and entered a kind of building built between Celadon City and the Cycling Road, just like in the video games and surely in the anime (I think), unfortunately, life was not as beautiful as we could all think and using the Cycling Road costs 10 Poké while renting a bike costs you another 20 Poké more. The good thing is that the trainers didn't have to pay to enter, but they did have to pay to rent a bike, so that's what we did, we rented three bikes for 60 Poké and then we paid 20 Poké so that Celeste and Roxanne could enter and then we left the enclosure to find a wide Cycling Road where dozens of humans and Pokémon were riding through the area on bicycles, admiring the beautiful landscapes and enjoying this beautiful day, among other things.
The Cycling Road was very similar to the one in video games, however, a clear difference is that here there were no bikers swarming the area, but a multitude of humans and Pokémon and I could even observe families riding bicycles. While it is true that this Cycling Road is usually used to go from Celadon City to Fuchsia City and vice versa, it is also one of the tourist attractions in Kanto, in fact, the Kanto Cycling Road is one of the most famous on the planet... yes, I was reading for a while on the train before falling asleep. Anyway, Kanto is, for me, the best region on the whole planet, call me nostalgic, but that's my opinion.
Anyway, after getting on our newly rented bikes, we headed straight for Fuchsia City.
…
Meanwhile.
In a place not far from the Cycling Road, there were three people we all knew well, Jessie, James and Meowth, who were right now on the road that trainers normally used to go to Fuchsia City.
"Are you sure they'll pass through here?" – Jessie asked.
"Of course-nya" - Meowth nodded.
"But it's a lot faster and easier to go through the Cycling Road, I'm sure they've gone that way" - James said.
"No, no, no, for a Pokémon trainer like him, traveling on foot is the best, everyone knows that-nya" - Meowth said.
"And how do you know they're going to come this way?" – Jessie asked.
"While you guys were wandering around in that restaurant, I did my job and saw the brats get off a train at the station and come in this direction-nya, so if we assume that they will take a little break before continuing on their journey... they should be here in less than an hour-nya" – Meowth nodded.
"Even if you were right... this plan is too simple, it won't work" - James said.
"Sometimes simple is best, after all, we've already tried to come up with complex plans to catch that Pikachu- I think a plan as simple as this will give us better results-nya" – Meowth said.
"But brats have grass- and fire-type Pokémon, they'll burn our balloon before we even know it" - Jessie said.
"Are you blind? Take a good look at the balloon" – said Meowth.
Jessie and James looked at the balloon and noticed that on either side there were two huge propellants.
"Have you added propellants to the balloon?" - asked James.
"That's right, so the plan is simple, with this vacuum we'll put the brat's Pikachu in this electrically proof container and making use of the propellants I installed in the balloon, we'll leave so fast that none of the brats will be able to react in time-nya" - Meowth said.
In reality, the plan was not all bad, they would use the surprise element and before they could react they would capture Ash's Pikachu without giving any of them a chance to react.
"It's not a bad plan, but..." – James said.
"But what-nya?" - asked Meowth.
"Where did you get the money to buy the propellants, the vacuum cleaner and the electrically proof container?" – Jessie asked.
"This... I called the boss and asked him to advance us next month's salary-nya" - Meowth said.
"What have you done what?!" – they both exclaimed.
The scream was so loud that they alerted the nearby Pokémon, which left the place frightened by the huge noise.
…
Hours later.
It had been 4 hours since we arrived at the Cycling Road and yes, at first I said that it would only took us two hours and I didn't lie, but the landscape was so beautiful and it was such a good day, that the girls and I decided to do a little sightseeing as many other people were doing at this very moment. At first we were only going to stay for at most an hour more, but in the end we got distracted and before we knew it had already been 4 hours, so we hurried to Fuchsia City quickly.
There were not many hours of sunshine left and Pokémon gyms do not exactly close late, so I have to hurry or I will have to wait until tomorrow to challenge Koga. By the way, as a curious fact, I read on the internet that Sachiko is the one who is part of the Elite Four while Koga is the gym leader.
However, after arriving in Fuchsia City, we quickly head towards the Pokémon gym without stopping to look at the City in the slightest.
