Chapter 143 - Chapter 142

Emiya's residence.

After a while I returned home, having made edits to the God's systems, tracked Lilith's whereabouts, and gotten a couple more answers to my questions, and the reborn God chose to remain hidden in the Seventh Heaven for the time being, which was no surprise to me.

Now the demographic crisis had passed Heaven, and angels could mate with anyone they wanted, even demons, and to fall they had to do something really terrible. Sacred Gears, on the other hand, were clearly tracked, down to their exact location.

When the Sacred Gear was awakened, and its bearer appeared on the radar of the supernatural world, an angel was sent to him from Heaven, which initiated him into the details, and then the owner of the Sacred Gear himself decided how to live on. In special cases, such a person was taken away by the Church for training, or his parents made the decision for him. In short, it was a more or less well-established system.

Of course, there was a 'small' condition and a few 'tiny' cogs without which it might not have been so effective. What was all this? Well, I don't think seraphim could fall into debauchery from watching lovemaking tens of thousands of times, right? Or die from exhaustion and endless bureaucratic hell, for example?

I'd taken the girl because she wouldn't leave me, and now the mini-Gabriel was sitting on the real Gabriel's lap while I sipped my coffee nonchalantly and watched all the Servants watching the scene with absolutely shocked expressions on their faces. Tia in particular was smiling brightly and thinking about something, and so was Morgan.

- "What is it, Master?" Artoria asked.

- "Or rather, when did he have time?" Medusa said.

- "Or rather, how did it get past me!" Merlin added grudgingly, and apparently his Clairvoyance wasn't working in the Seventh Heaven.

- "More-true, I knew you were a sadist, Romani, but to deprive the purest of the purest of all pure angels, a seraphim to be exact? Should I fear you?" Runeas interjected with obvious mockery and poked Archer in the shoulder.

- "I'm not a part of this."

- "Putting aside Faker's own useless words, where did you get the kid from, you mongrel?"

- "But if you technically lost to me, you are therefore even more useless than me, 'little Gil'?"

- "Enough of you, we're family," Enkidu smiled and chained them together, pinning them to each other.

- "Let me go, Enkidu! I don't want to breathe the same air with the inferior Faker!"

- "Neither do I! Any more and I'll be infected by his idiocy!"

I was just pretending I wasn't here, just because it wouldn't have made any difference at all.

- "C-child... Romani-san'..." Le Fei mumbled.

- "Nothing was surprising at all. It was only a matter of time," Arthur commented indifferently.

- "How interesting," Morgan said thoughtfully, "A homunculus, and a tolerable one at that, with divinity and almost no flaws."

- "Homunculus?" Mo-chan wondered.

- "It seems so, Sir Mordred," Lancelot agreed.

- "Aaaaaa~" Tia sang out while Irina and Griselda were still reeling from the news still from the Sixth Heaven, and Gabriel, red as a beet, awkwardly stroked her mini-version on the head. The Assassins just stood back as usual, Rea-chan was clearly surprised, and Elaine kept her professional mask on.

Honestly, what to do with this mini-Gabriel, I didn't know from the word go. Dumping her on someone would be such a do-it-yourself idea because of the divinity of the Bible God in her body. Play the role of her parent? Heh. There's no telling how that would work out. Now, uh, uh.

- "Are you done?" I finally asked, but all but the obvious exceptions didn't care, "Hello? Can you hear me?"

Well, badly, so badly.

- "Dear heroes of long-dead years, as well as all other equally important and magnificent persons present here. If you don't calm down, I, with a grieving heart and immense pain, will have to take action. Okay?" I said with absolute calmness, putting the world's cutest smile on my face, and the noise instantly died down and their heads turned sharply in my direction.

- "Heart? You don't have one..." Archer grinned, but in the next millisecond he turned into a one-year-old with golden eyes, red hair, and a diaper.

- "Wah?!" he marveled in a baby voice and looked down at his hands and pointed a finger at me, "Wah, wah, wah!"

- "Sh-shirou...?!" covered the blushing Artoria with her hand.

- "K-kind of cute...," Medusa whispered and picked up Archer.

- "M-mother! You're so... little!" Mo-chan joined in, poking his cheek.

- "Wah? Wah, wah!" Archer waved his arms, but the women didn't care.

- "Ha! Way to go, mongrel! A well-deserved punishment for Fake..." now Gil opened his mouth, who repeated his fate, "Gee?! Gee, Gee!"

- "You're a child, Gil..." Enkidu said in surprise, and then took him in his arms and rubbed his cheek against him, "How tiny you were then..."

- "Gee, gee!" Gil protested.

And while he was doing that, the eyes of the others gathered on me again, or rather, on my radiant smile.

- "Okay?"

- "How scary..." Irina mumbled fearfully, while the others were silent and obviously afraid to say anything.

- "That's good," I nodded, "Oh, yes, from tomorrow you go back to work."

They've had enough rest. Yes, it was only a day. Yes, not even a full one. But rested nonetheless. Better to be doing something useful than wandering around in the middle of nowhere.

- "But..." Runeas stammered.

- "Hmm? Did you say something?" I asked, widening my smile even more.

- "You imagined it!"

- "Oh, I thought you wanted to contradict me." I said, and looked around the room, "It's been a long day, and now I want to sleep. If any of you disturb my sleep, you will go to work blind."

- "What about Shirou and Gilgamesh?" Artoria asked.

- "Their bodies will be back to normal by tomorrow morning," I said, "That's it, I'm out of here."

At this point, the doorbell rang, and Rea-chan went to open it, and she came back with a group of five people, which I expected and didn't expect at the same time. After all, the Throne of Heaven wasn't particularly quiet when it was occupied by my carcass.

Oh yes, and they were not humans, but demons, that is, Sirzechs, Greyfia, Serafall, and, as I realized, Ajuka and Falbium, judging by their strength and green hair and bald head, respectively. And, of course, the first thing that caught their attention wasn't the Servants, but....

- "What is this?!" Serafall shrieked loudly and indignantly, waving her arms while the rest of her colleagues' eyes widened, "Ro-tan, you made a baby with that... that... angel! When?! Where?! Why?!"

- "Oh, Sera-chan," Gabriel smiled awkwardly, "How are you doing?"

- "Don't 'Sera-chan' me! When did you sleep with him?! You took advantage of living with him and attacked him like an animal, didn't you?! Or did you sneak into his bed while he was sleeping and quietly do your thing, huh?!" Serafall continued her tirade, giving me a headache.

- "N-no, I..."

- "If you did it, so did I!" Ignoring Gabriel, Serafall declared and was about to undress, but she was stopped by Greyfia, Ajuka, and Falbium, who covered her mouth and began to hold her down.

- "Calm down, Serafall. Can't you see that things are not as you imagined?" Ajuka said in a calm tone.

- "Yes, it's terribly obvious," Falbium supported him in an extremely lazy voice.

- "You are a Demon Lord, Lady Leviathan, you should be able to control yourself," Greyfia said coldly.

- "Disgusting," Rea-chan grimaced as she looked at Serafall, who was twisting her arms and legs trying to break free.

- "Romani-san," Sirzechs began with a clearly shaky smile, "Can I..."

- "Ask where this child came from?" I rubbed my temples, "One thing happened, then another, and finally it came to this."

- "I-it turns out..." he pointed a trembling finger at me.

- "Just sit down and tell me why all four Demon Lords came to my house at once, including your fetish," I said, but none of them did. Sirzechs was apparently trying to figure out how Gabriel hadn't become a Fallen after 'bonding' with me, and Greyfia, Ajuka, and Falbium were keeping Serafall from losing any of her wits.

I created a cup of coffee and took a sip to take my mind off this baloney. Given the usual caffeine content in my system, I wasn't affected in any way by its invigorating properties, but the flavor was still working as it should.

Hmmm... I wouldn't mind messing around with demons any other day, but not today. The Throne of Heaven took quite a lot of energy from me, as I had to adjust not only what was needed, but also everything that was related to them.

At one point I felt a tug on my sleeve, and looked up to see mini-Gabriel pointing a finger at the cup. Realizing what she wanted brought a sort of proud smile to my face, so I sat her on my lap and created another cup, already for her.

Well, I think we can find common ground. Uh-huh-uh.
