"I'm not going". Eddie said without thinking. Stuart didn't respond.
When they were in the car he said. "By 6pm, I'll come pick you up for shopping".
"What the heck, I just told you I wasn't going".
Is she nuts? Why would she go and see his parents. The main people that caused everything that was happening now.
If they hadn't tricked her dad she would not have chosen acting, she wouldn't have met Lauren, she wouldn't have been drugged and she would not be violated causing this predicament that she's in.
"We're here". Stuart said coldly and mechanically like some programmed robot.
I felt frustrated as if I was punching cotton. The feeling was suffocating. I was really angry.
Eddie paused. "Is this car expensive?".
Stuart shook his head indicating no. He wasn't lying, it was indeed the cheapest car he had. But to ordinary people it was luxurious.
Eddie breathed a sigh of relief when she heard that the car wasn't expensive.
She didn't want to be held responsible for damaging an expensive car then she slammed the door hard venting her frustration and anger on it.
Stuart: "...".
Stuart stayed there for a while watching her figure till she disappeared from his sight. "Quite interesting". He said with a slight smile before leaving.
At the reception of Eddie's workplace a very lively girl named Sophie asked. "Sister Eddie who was that just now. The person must be very rich judging from the car. Is he your boyfriend?".
Eddie poked Sophie's forehead with a finger. "Is that what you were brought here to do? Focus on your work".
Sophie raised her arms in surrender. "Okay, big sis Eddie I'll stop now I have work to do". She's didn't want to be the next target for a sermon.
Watching the girl pretending to be busy to chase her away, Eddie smiled. "Alright, I'll get going".
With that Eddie went straight into the elevator, when she got out she felt a very intense gaze behind her that seemed to be mixed with hatred.
Eddie turned back and saw Lauren who , immediately put on a smile. "Eddie what happened to you last night? Are you okay?".
Eddie thought of one word hypocrite. "Drop the act, don't think I don't know that you're the one drugged me last night".
Lauren looked surprised. "Oh, so you found out".
She walked closer to Eddie and whispered. "It won't be like this next time, you were supposed to go to Leonard's room not Stuart Gray's room".
Eddie was disappointed when she heard Lauren shamelessly admit to drugging her, she hadn't done anything to offend her why would she hate her this much.
"You're shameless". Eddie said breathlessly.
"Look who's telling me that, you were the one that threw yourself into Stuart Gray's room because his rich and you want to find a backer for your act.....".
Lauren didn't have the chance to finish what she was saying before a crisp sound cut her off.
SMACK!!!
"Watch what you say Lauren, it won't just be a slap next time. This is just a warning". Saying this Eddie went to the bathroom.
Her hatred for that Stuart guy only increased. If not for him and his family she wouldn't be in this mess.
She wouldn't even had chosen acting as her career, it was all because of him.
Just then her phone rang bringing her out of her reverie.
It was her agent Derrick, he said urgently. "Eddie are you at the company? Come to my office now".
With that he hung up the phone and didn't even give Eddie the chance to say anything.
She quickly fixed herself and went to his office.
