"Sarah..."
"Sarah..."
"Sarah..."
Alaric called several more times but he was met with silence. He should have guessed that something was wrong from how his body was healing fast. Just what had she done? But the next instant a voice came to him which he was relieved
The voice faded but the screen was still lit up but it was fading too. Alaric felt like he had lost part of him. He was surrounded by silence. Why had she chosen to leave him? Was there no other way?
The screen started crumbling and it turned into two beads that emitted a dazzling glow and they settled right above the chains on his Bloodline. He tried to probe them but he was hit with a spitting headache and realized that he could not crack their profoundness with his shallow knowledge and strength.
But he was angry. He glared at Joan for she was the one who had brought about the result of him losing Sarah. He wanted to step forward but he was stopped by a blinding light that enveloped him and lit the entire cave.
This shocked him and the two ladies in the room. What was happening? That was the question that rang in their mind. But Alaric was shocked when he felt a bottleneck crack and he realized that it was his Soul which was breaking through to the Supreme Plane.
This somehow felt unreal. After all, his energy cultivation was only in the Cryptic Plane. Then his body was in the middle stages of the Master Plane. His Soul was very heaven defying and it instantly broke through into the Supreme Plane.
For the soul, there were usually no tribulations during breakthrough. Alaric broke through into the Supreme Plane with his soul but he knew that this was not absolute strength. He could only be said to be strong if he could match all the three cultivation facets.
But he hoped that his Soul was going to be of use in this fight. After all, he did not know how souls were used to attack. The blinding light faded into his body and he appeared once again.
He really had put them in a roller coaster with his constantly increasing strength and they were certain that this was the last time. But they could not understand what power the light possessed.
He even produced an aura that was several more times stronger than the lady. The only difference was that this power was foreign. Alaric opened his eyes and looked at the lady who was about to attack him and had stopped.
"Just who are you?" She couldn't help but ask.
"Your doom!" Alaric said. He used his soul and locked onto the lady. He could use the Soul to attack the Soul but the Souls of everyone had been locked.
All he could resort to was use of mental attacks. With his Soul, he could unleash a powerful attack on the mind and caused a backlash on the lady.
He did not hesitate and instantly attacked her mind. It was like a sword as he slashed in her mind. The lady screamed as she closed her eyes and ears with her hands as though she had gone mad.
Her eyes were bloodshot as she glared at Alaric with anger and fear written in her eyes.
"What did you do to me?" She asked still screaming but Alaric just ignored her as he sliced again and she fell on her knees.
This time she fell on her knees as she pulled her hair. Such an attack! Who had she provoked? Alaric suddenly could see through her mind when she was in pain. But he did not know how to read one's thoughts.
But he could see profound seals in her memories which were to protect her from leaking information. Alaric had an evil thought of activating the seals. He had a feeling that if he could activate them, they would instantly kill her.
"Just kill me already!" She acreamed on top of her voice. This was worse pain than when the seals were being placed in her memory. She was hurting her throat and she glared at Alaric and she started unleashing attacks randomly at him.
She started enduring the pain and she stood up and started throwing ice shards and lightning arrows at Alaric. Alaric could sense the danger and he leapt away. He still did not know of a way to kill a Salvia Plane cultivator.
One could say the seals but he was unable to crack it. It was too profound that he could take a longer time if he wanted to unseal them. From her attitude, she would rather endure pain than spill the information so the only thing he could do was activate the seals on his own.
But it was going to be more difficult with her attacking him. Though he could evade, he was not getting a chance to look at the seal. He could only think of another strategy as he remembered about the array he had used to attack them before.
He could not recreate it instantly but some nodes, he could recreate. With the Soul reaching the Supreme Plane, he could even support the whole array by himself for a few attacks.
He raised his hand and it started glowing golden. His pupil started rotating like they had gears and a complex array not any more wide than his palm lit up on it. Wider arrays lit up in different parts of the room all pointing at the lady.
The core of each array was red and the one in his palm changed to that of bloody red. The arrays' cores lit up and unleashed beams of light. They all landed on the lady and the result was slightly better.
They managed to cause shallow wounds on her body as blood seeped from her wounds. Then, the array in his hand which had not unleashed an attack fully lit up and unleashed a beam of light that aimed at the lady.
She raised her hand and an ice dome appeared before her which she used to block the attack. But in the next instant, she was horrified when the dome exploded and she was sent flying backwards blood seeping from the corner of her mouth.
Maybe she should have escaped. She looked at the kid with horror. Just who was he? The pain in her mind had receded but she was unsure if she could keep up with his attacks.
That attack just now could have heavily injured her. At the moment, only her internal organs were slightly injured which was bad news.
Alaric looked at the broken ice shards on the ground and the lady standing meters away from him. He then looked at the array in his hand and smiled. He felt he could unleash such attacks endlessly which shocked him.
So this was an array. The main means of attack of the Soul. He was sure if his strength reached the same level, he could easily kill her. So this was what referred to as strength. He now wanted to get stronger.
The rest of the arrays started compressing and all reached the same size as the one on his palm. They then changed their colour and turned bloody red. Alaric smiled at the feeling.
"Boy, why don't we stop here? I will let you leave with the girl and not come after you again," the lady said and this provoked Alaric's laughter.
"Let me go? Can you even stop me from leaving?" He asked as the arrays started lighting up from the core.
Seeing this, the lady could not help but curse.
"I will tell you everything about the ice queen if you are willing to talk with me," the lady said and Alaric did not pause as the arrays continued glowing.
"If I was weaker, could we have been discussing this?" He asked. If he was stronger, they would already be fully charged and she would be no more. "Its not like I don't know about the seals on your memory. If this is all you have to say, then go meet your companions in the after life," he said as the glow increased.
"How do you know?" She asked horrified. That was a secret and it was impossible for anyone to know about it.
"Why don't you take a guess?" Alaric asked as the arrays in the air all released beams of light.
Joan cursed as she created another ice dome twice the size from before and added a lighting dome above it. She could not believe that she was pushed to defense only by a Cryptic Plane kid.
The almost twenty arrays unleashed their attacks and they all landed on her dome. Explosions rang out and in the next instant came a pained scream as Alaric unleashed an attack with the array in his palm, almost twice as powerful as before...
