"What? If I want to play, we can continue tomorrow?" Qi Longbing looked as though he had heard some colossal joke. Sitting in the driver's seat, he leaned his head back and gave a couple of dry laughs. With a press of his hand, the music in the car stopped abruptly.
Then, a long silence stretched between them.
This odd atmosphere wasn't a first. Hua Xiaomo felt an uncomfortable, prickly sensation all over; it was very unpleasant. Soon, she made up her mind. She needed to go home and take a shower to wash away this unbearable feeling.
"President Qi..." Hua Xiaomo was about to say more when his voice cut in.
"Am I someone you can command?" The deep, magnetic voice resonated in the compact space. Qi Longbing's gaze swept sideways towards her, his blue eyes glinting with a hint of wicked charm.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to order you around. But it really is late now, and I have to go back. Besides, our agreement states..." Hua Xiaomo didn't finish her sentence.
