Despite Patty's evasive response, she stuck around till dinner time. Having her and Rosie at the dinner table was starting to become a common occurrence.
There were blueberry pies for dinner, Patty showing up had resolved the blueberry shortage. Rosie was so happy at the sight of them that Caspian didn't have the heart to stop her from eating some, even though he had decided that she wouldn't be getting any more blueberries.
After dinner was over, Rosie turned to her friend, who quietly fit in, content to remain in the background. "We're going to get some things for my stay, want to tag along?"
"Sure," Patty agreed, rising to her feet. She hadn't shown any indication that she would be leaving soon, and no one wanted to bring it up, wanting her to stay the night.
Jael was beginning to adjust to this new side of Patty, he hoped she would spend the night, maybe if she was here to distract or dissuade Rosie, he wouldn't be in danger while he slept.
