Rosie hoped that Jael had forgotten his 'generous' offer to take her along for a ride, but she knew better than that, if Jael didn't show up it meant that the other was likely dead, that was the only reason he would miss out on the chance to taunt her.
So she wasn't too surprised when she peeked out of her window for the third time and saw him pulling into her driveway. Despite her obvious aversion to his presence, she had already been dressed and peeking out of the window for the past few minutes.
Rosie didn't wait for Jael to come up, marching right out the door. She was in another pair of lowrise jeans, with a leather jacket slung over a shoulder because it was likely to get colder.
