- Celeste's POV -
When her caretaker opened his eyes for the third time now, showing that he was still alive and well after sharing his life energy to feed others than herself, which she was okay with, but still felt a slight aversion towards it, he first patter her head before ordering her around.
That's right, unlike the second time where he opened his eyes, now, she knew a lot more about what he was saying, as he would explain to her properly, and being asked to sit down, an action that would ask of her to uncover his weakness, she did it nonetheless as she knew that others monsters wouldn't attack him while she was around him.
And as she did so, the man looked at her body, a bit more intently than he would usually, sending her in a bliss, before he spoke more words that she knew nothing about, but realized that he would speak them often.
Yet, she didn't have the time to think about it as the man just got up to sit down as well and hugged her, a familiar action now as it had already been the second time it happened, and she was the only one allowed to receive his touch too, which made her feel really great about it.
Listening to the words he was saying, a few of them sounded familiar, even though she had no idea about their meanings, but with his embrace tightening around her, she didn't question it any longer, until she was asked to get up.
Getting up was the action to use her lower limbs, or her feet, to support herself on top of them, another thing that she had learned, and while she didn't want to at first, she knew that she would receive a reward if he said ' good girl ' after, so she did it anyways.
But waiting a bit more, looking at the man and even seeing him getting up himself, the next thing she knew, the ground started to shake as he finished speaking, and just as if he used a grand spell, the sinking ground came out from below, before spreading around the existing ground even more.
Such a sight, she was surprised by it, it was her first time seeing something like that, and while she was curious, she sent her glance towards the man who provoked it, as if asking for answers to her curiosity, but before anything..
" ... .. .... here. "
The man spoke a few words, with only one that she knew about, and looking at the direction where he pointed his finger, something terrifying for her happened.
Again, just like the previous time, the man had made five more monsters appear, monsters that could surely grab his attention, she knew about it too well as the first time they matured, he lurked at them, especially the smaller places on her body, making her annoyed.
Yet, he did it again, and thinking that he would break his promise, she looked up to him with grief in her eyes, asking what was the meaning for such a thing, secretly hoping that it wasn't what she was thinking about, and the man slowly lowered himself and patted her head, melting some of her annoyance, before he started explaining with words and actions that hardly made any sense to her.
She knew he tried to mean something, but she couldn't get it, his langage was too complicated for her to just understand it after listening to it a few times, and the actions he showed weren't enough or she couldn't get the meaning behind them.
Slowly calming herself, as she was realizing that maybe she was just having a bad idea about him, and praying that it was the case internally, quickly enough, the man pointed to the big light, before moving his finger around to the other side of the island, and finally, he pointed towards his weakness and then to her.
Surely, that meant that he didn't forget about his promise, and if the big light reached the other side, it also meant that it was time for him to give his life energy, so with that explained, she rapidly connected the two dots and guessed what he tried to mean, which finally washed her worries away and made her happy at the same time, finally hugging him.
" ... Celeste. "
And after some time of just her keeping him close and him using his hand to caress her head, her name was then being called once again.
Looking up since his hand was removed from the top of her body, she then saw him repeating the signs of him teaching her, before pointing towards the other slimes not that far from them.
What was the meaning of such action ? Did he wanted for her to look at their body parts ?
Not being sure to understand what he meant by that, yet receiving his fervent stare, as if asking of her to understand, she slowly removed her arms from his body, with a bit of regret, but more curiosity about what he tried to mean by that.
" ... paw. "
But being asked something else, she then put her own hand on top of the man's hand, guessing that she would soon understand as the man grabbed her hand and started walking, and she followed him obediently, until she saw that they were approaching the other monsters where she didn't want him to be close by.
Somehow, the feeling would grow stronger as they slowly got closer, forcing her to clench on his hand without knowing about it, but feeling the grasp on her hand tightening and being firmer, she would feel a bit better, before the man gave her another order.
" Celeste, go. "
It was two words, but she understood the meaning of them, to walk in the direction where he would point at, and seeing that he was pointing at the other slime, but wouldn't go there himself, she was reassured and easily made her way before turning around to face him.
" Okay ... training, hands ! "
Recognizing a few words, along with the familiar distance, she easily raised her hands when asked to, but then, the man did something unexpecting to her, as he started teaching her about it all over again, as if to make sure that she understood well.
However, it didn't stop there as he kept going, starting again her teaching from scratch when she already knew everything, hurting her pride a bit, until she noticed that he actually missed a few body parts in their training, and walking towards him, she asked him, without being able to formulate words, but simply by pointing towards her feet and knees.
And her question found an answer rapidly, as the man patted her head gently before pointing towards the other slimes, and as he called in order the body parts that she already knew about, only to see them also obeying his orders like she would, and understood why he repeated it all over again.
Finally, he then faced her once again, and pointed towards her legs, before pointing towards the other slimes.
" ... ..... ... legs... ... Celeste... .... ... .. "
From those two words alone, she understood, that she was the only one possessing them, and while she knew about it beforehand, she just thought that she was a bit different thanks to mutating by herself, but now, she knew how that difference played a major part and how she would always be the first in the man's eyes.
Looking at the other female slimes, she was afraid of losing the man she cared for because of them, but while they didn't look similar at all to her eyes, she, in fact, was the only one possessing such a body, and then, looking at the man and seeing him also looking at her with a soft gaze that they never received, she rapidly made her mind.
By pointing her finger towards them, she also wanted to be the one teaching them like he would, to prove her own superiority, but also to make the man happy like she was right now, and surely, he agreed to it.
Going back to her place, instead of facing the man, now, she was facing them, acting as a natural guardian and his protector, and then, she lifted her hands, only to hear the voice of the man that spoke behind her.
Leading the training by herself, and with the help of the man, she showed her experience as a senior in such a matter to the younger ones, also swiftly avoiding to point at the parts that the man behind her would look at.
After all, even if she was confident to be special in his eyes now, she wasn't ready for him to just look at someone else when she was here, but hearing that the man wouldn't tell the body parts too, she felt better over it.
And time passing by slowly, it was soon time for his promise.
