"Angela! We got third place!" Whitney practically chirped. "Did you know Remillia was the one who guided our group?"
"Say what?" Angela replied, her voice flat.
"Oh we got third place," Whitney said.
"Oh, we got third place," Whitney repeated, seemingly missing the point.
"Not that," Angela stated, cutting her off.
"Remillia was our group guide?" Whitney said, finally catching on. "Why, what's wrong?"
Angela completely ignored Whitney's question and walked directly towards me.
"Oh, hello," I said, ignoring the snippets of their conversation with Whitney.
"What time did you finish?" Angela asked, ignoring my greeting.
"What time did you finish?" Angela asked instead.
"45 minutes," I replied.
Angela's jaw tightened slightly. Maybe she was annoyed that I'd beaten her team, especially since I wasn't a marksman. Everyone knew that marksmen and long-range fighters were usually the ones who guided their groups.
