He could naturally skipped all of this if he went ahead and just devoured Rodd Reiss but since he would get the bloodline anyways he decided to spare the guy's life, and for Historia's sake it was even more important to not kill the guy.
If Historia wants the guy dead then it would be nice but until then, the only thing happening to Rodd Reiss would be imprisonment....

Annie was a bit surprised as she heard his words , she couldn't help but smile as she thanked him in a sincere tone.
" Thank you " The trust he was giving her was far more than she deserved because she was one of the invaders who attacked his home and his wife and children would have died that day if not for him being the Attack Titan.
Annie couldn't help but think that despite him coming off as a petty person he was unusually kind , way more kinder than a person in his position should be.

Siegfried was standing on top of the walls beside the cannons because he knew Bertolt the holder of the Colossal Titan would come here somewhere.
{ I hate this guy cuz his name is so confusing to remember and this is the easier spelling of his name compared to Bertholdt }
But that would be the last time he would be transforming since after this, his death would be guaranteed by Siegfried.
He would use Bertolt to bait Reiner and kill both of them.
Or just kill Reiner after killing Bertolt since he already knew Reiner was the Armored Titan.
He wondered if he could host the power of all the Nine Titans in him and would that change something.
But as long as he had the founder wouldn't he be able to reclaim the power of the remaining Titan's since these remaining Titan's originated from the founder.
He didn't know but he was interested to see what would happen.....

The moment the huge face of the Collosal Titan came into view Siegfried jumped off the wall as his wings unfurled behind him and he shot his cables at the Titan's shoulder once he was in range and used it to propel himself forward.
Siegfried could feel the skin on his body starting to evaporate as he could feel the painful sensation.
But he just pushed the pain to the back of his mind as he had been through worse.
Today Bertolt will die and he was going to make sure of that.....

Bertolt who had transformed into the Colossal Titan had an apathetic gaze as he knew he was going to commit another atrocity today but it was all for the mission.
