James looked at Papi, Lefi, and Suu playing together in the open field. Their laughter echoed in the room.
"They seem to be having fun," Rei remarked as she joined him.
James nodded. "They've been at it for a while. It's nice to see them bonding," he replied.
"You should join them," Yuriko suggested, stepping up beside Rei.
"Maybe later," Rei replied, though her lips twitched in a small smile.
Miia tilted her head, her long red hair catching the sunlight. "Is Suu wearing clothes?" she asked.
James shrugged. "Clothes will just get wet, and with her... unique abilities, it doesn't seem practical," he replied. "Maybe we can give her a raincoat or something waterproof," he added thoughtfully.
"That's actually a good idea," Yuriko chimed in, nodding. "It would keep her decent," she added.
"Should we not inform Miss Smith about this?" Cera asked.
"I can handle that," Yuriko replied with a confident smile. "There are some forms we can fill out, and we might even be able to claim the expense back," she added.
Miia furrowed her brow, looking slightly worried. "Do we... have money issues?" she asked.
Yuriko immediately shook her head. "No, we don't. James has provided us with plenty of resources," she replied.
Rei chuckled softly. "James is quite rich," she said, glancing at him with a smirk.
"It is our money," James said, looking at them.
Yuriko crossed her arms. "It's not just about money. These are resources we're entitled to as part of the program so we should use them," Yuriko said.
Miia's face lit up with relief. "That's good. I don't want us to struggle," she said.
"We will not," James said. "I am going outside to get a few things," James said. "Anyone want to come along?" he asked.
"I want to," Miia volunteered as she put her hand up.
"I will as well, to protect my Master," Cera added.
"Okay, let's go," James responded.
"I will head to meet Miss Smith," Yuriko said.
"Looks like I will be looking over them," Rei remarked.
"Sounds good," James said.
James, Cera, and Miia stepped outside, greeted instantly by the intense rays of the midday sun. Miia immediately coiled her tail closer to James, wrapping her arm around his.
"It's so hot," Miia said, using her free hand to fan herself dramatically. Her red hair glimmered in the sunlight. "Why does it have to be this bright and scorching? My scales are going to dry out," she remarked.
James chuckled. "You'll be fine, Miia. Besides, you look radiant in the sun," James replied.
James looked at Cera and reached out, taking her hand in his own. Cera froze for a moment, her eyes darting to their joined hands. A soft blush spread across her cheeks. She cleared her throat. "I-I'm fine. There's no need for that," she said.
James smiled at her gently. "I know you are, but it's okay," he responded. Cera's blush deepened, and she looked away, trying to hide the small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Her ears flopped around.
Then they saw a young woman with long blond hair. She had a black unicorn-like horn and white fur on her arms, legs, and around her neck. She also has bunny like feet, and rabbit ears.
She had large eyes, a small nose and a smile on her lips. She wore a purple shirt which showed ample amount of cleavage. She had a short purple skirt.
"Scanning a new lifeform," the Ultimatrix said. A green beam scanned the girl. It scanned from head to toe. The scan finished. "New life form acquired," the Ultimatrix added. The faceplate went back in the watch.
"Hello," James said to the young woman. "I am James, this is Miia and Cera," James said. Cera immediately let go of his hand.
"I am Miraj," Miraj said looking at James. He had a unique smell. It was alluring. She looked at the two girls. She blushed.
"Are you new here?" James asked.
"I am," Miraj responded. She could feel her body starting to lose control. Her mind was going hazy. She looked at James and thought she had to control it. "I need to go, I am late for my training," she added.
"Training for?" James asked.
"I need to go," Miraj said. She bent her legs and jumped. She then jumped again.
"She looked like she was getting in the heat," Miia said.
"She was an Al-mi'raj and their kind are known for that," Cera added.
They looked at James who was smiling. "Darling," Miia remarked.
"Master," Cera said.
"I was admiring her strong legs," James responded.
At that moment, James's eyes caught sight of a girl in a wheelchair careening down a steep hill, her face frozen in panic as the wheels spun faster and faster. Without a second thought, James gently released Miia's arm.
"James? What's wrong?" Miia asked, startled.
The wind rushed past the girl's face. She could see the sharp drop at the bottom of the hill and shut her eyes tightly, bracing for the worst.
Suddenly, James appeared beside her. With a powerful leap, he landed next to the runaway wheelchair, his hand gripping one of the handles. Using all his strength, he planted his feet firmly on the ground, the friction nearly lifting him off his feet as he brought the wheelchair to a grinding halt mere inches from the edge.
The girl gasped, her hands flying to her chest as she tried to catch her breath.
"Are you okay?" James asked.
"I-I think so," she stammered, still trying to process what had just happened. Her pale cheeks were flushed, and her hands shook slightly as they gripped the arms of her chair. "Thank you," she said looking at the handsome man. She thought this was James.
"Scanning a new lifeform," the Ultimatrix said. A green beam scanned the girl. It scanned from head to toe. The scan finished. "New life form acquired," the Ultimatrix added. The faceplate went back in the watch.
"You are safe now," James assured her, offering a kind smile. "That was a close one. Are you hurt?" he asked.
She quickly shook her head. "No, I'm fine. Just… shaken up. You saved me. Thank you so much," she added.
Miia slithered over, her amber eyes wide with concern. "James, is she okay? What happened?" she asked.
"She's alright," James said, standing up but keeping a reassuring hand on the wheelchair. He turned back to the girl. "Do you need help getting somewhere? Maybe we can call someone for you," he said.
The girl blinked. "No, I found my place," she replied.
James looked at her. She was an attractive woman with blue eyes. She wore a gothic lolita style dress.
"Found your place?" James asked.
"Yes, I am Mero and I will be living with you," Mero responded.
"What!!?" Miia asked.
"He is my Sir," Mero responded.
Cera then came. "What happened? She asked.
"Darling got another girl," Miia said. Cera's jaw dropped.
Mero smiled. They all head home.
James gathers the girl. "So this is the new newcomer?" Yuriko asked.
"How do you know?" Miia asked.
"Miss Smith told me about it over the phone and laughed," Yuriko responded. "She said, I did not get paid enough and she will report it in a new way," Yuriko added.
"That is Miss Smith," Rei remarked.
"I am Meroune Lorelei, I am a mermaid," Mero said. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I hope we all get along," she added. Mero took her dress off. She was an attractive, well-endowed young woman with blue eyes, fin-like ears and long light-pink hair. She had a pink fish-tail with pelvic fins. She has gills on the sides of her torso and webbed hands. She wore a black bikini.
