Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Echoes of Time and Power

The moment Akira vanished, the time circle reversed, stretching back thousands of years, until it halted at a point 20,000 years before. Moment by moment, the cosmic forces intertwined, bringing Akira back to the past, yet he couldn't control his aching body. The blue light accompanying him faded, leaving his exhausted body to push him into an unexpected coma. He felt as though his body had been torn apart from the inside, as if every cell within him had exploded under the strain of this strange transition through time.

But this time, Akira was not alone...

As time opened before him, Akira fell to the ground, kneeling as though every step taken by the forces that had thrown him here had crushed his body completely. His limbs were taut, his eyes blurred as he tried to gather his strength to remain standing. His body burned with invisible energy, flowing through his veins at a staggering speed, but it was too much for his body to bear. The energy continued to rise unnaturally, causing everything around him to collapse. The earth trembled beneath his feet, and the trees fell as if the wind itself had shattered them.

Sparks filled the earth. The air caught fire, and Akira lay on the ground, as though his body screamed in silence. His limbs shook, his eyes tightly shut, while energy leaked from his body, engulfing the space around him in successive explosions, each one stronger than the last. The place was alive with sounds: the cracking of trees, the earth colliding with destructive force, then a burst of light splitting the sky in half. It seemed as though the very universes had gathered in this place, and Akira released a tremendous wave of destructive energy without meaning to.

Not far away, in a dark forest with land steeped in ancient history, there were creatures of no small power. One of them observed the scene closely, sensing every movement, every vibration in the air. This being watched with glowing red eyes—those of Velgrynd, the legendary dragon with wide wings ablaze with flames. Her eyes tracked every detail of this strange existence unfolding before her, carefully watching everything that happened, studying every movement and the trail left by the explosive energies everywhere. She knew everything about this land, and everyone within it, but she had never witnessed anything like this before.

She saw the dragon's presence, its shape seemingly surrounded by a strange web—a cocoon of light and shadow, as if it were some kind of protection or restraints preventing other universes from interfering in this bizarre event. This man, known as Nifuji Akira, was exploding with extraordinary energy, energy that was not of this world. It was this explosion that had caught her attention, this power that defied explanation, which surpassed anything she had ever witnessed before. Her eyes widened, and mysterious words echoed in her mind: "This can't be just an accident..."

Without fully understanding what was happening, she sensed that there was something bigger at play, something beyond a mere incident—something that transcended time and space. A discomfort gnawed at her heart, as if this event carried with it a great transformation, not just for Akira, but for everything in this world.

She decided to approach cautiously. Hovering in the air, her blazing wings filled the atmosphere with heat and light, yet something deep inside told her she needed to learn more. Even amidst the chaos surrounding her, she didn't feel fear—she felt curiosity. She wanted to understand what was happening, and she sensed that there was something here that could benefit her in this turmoil.

The energy continued to burst from Akira, sending the earth and the surrounding environment into disarray. Velgrynd watched from afar, whispering to herself, "What is this?" The words were spoken in a low voice, almost inaudible, but they filled the space around her. This energy was strong, deep—like ancient magic or some profound power. It wasn't just ordinary energy. It was something strange, something different, yet it carried a rare quality she hadn't been able to fully comprehend.

Her approach set the air ablaze around them, even her breath sparking fires everywhere. The heat intensified, and fiery waves followed every movement. Velgrynd knew this type of energy was unusual. It was rare, even for her, and that made her even more curious. With every passing moment, her desire to get closer to him grew, to understand this being who seemed to hold a secret greater than just transient energy.

She stopped a short distance away, observing the small piles of ash emerging around Akira as she tried to understand the reason behind this strange cocoon. The cocoon was surrounded by strange lights, and the place buzzed with a colossal energy filling the surroundings. She wondered with curiosity.

"What was that? And why is this human, who seemed so weak, releasing such catastrophic energy? Was this just an accident, or is there a greater reason behind it?"

Then, as she entered a closer circle around him, she felt something different in the air, as if everything around Akira was about to explode. The confusion surrounding him grew more complex with each moment, and the energies emanating from him spiraled in endless vortices. Velgrynd hovered near him, and with every movement, she sensed something unfamiliar drawing nearer to her, as if this existence held something she could benefit from. She felt a strange pull within, as though this energy was attracting her to itself, as if there were a hidden force waiting to be discovered.

Akira did not respond. He had lost consciousness, but his body oozed destructive energy. Velgrynd was about to leave, but she couldn't. A strong sense of curiosity kept her there. Her curiosity wasn't driven by fear—it only grew stronger. She couldn't resist the need to understand this being.

"What if there's a secret here?" she muttered softly, stepping closer to Akira. Surrounded by her shimmering flames, she still observed. She moved gradually toward him, as the explosive forces around him filled the space with a colossal flash, burning everything they touched.

She landed gracefully on the ground, her large feet pressing into the earth, while her eyes watched Akira, who was in a semi-comatose state, his body pulsing with power, yet in complete exhaustion. The heat of the ground quickened beneath her steps, and her feet left traces of flames behind.

"It will be interesting to watch him..." Velgrynd thought to herself, though her features maintained their usual coldness, she felt a mysterious excitement inside. She wouldn't leave him alone—he seemed to contain a secret that could change everything around him. She felt as though the universes themselves were watching this scene, and if she were to discover something monumental, it would be here.

Suddenly, another sensation entered her mind: this energy wasn't just ordinary. It was energy that drew her in. It was powerful, but at the same time, it contained something she could use. Something strange in this cocoon, a mysterious feeling that kept her by his side, watching every movement. She wouldn't let him vanish from her sight.
