However, this one vengeful lash sealed its hope of escape.
With a sharp CRACK, Su Yan bore the full brunt of the Strange Tree's powerful blow. Just as this "Branch of Sin" attempted to retreat, Su Yan reached out, grabbed it, and gave it a violent yank. This single pull forcefully dragged back the Strange Tree that was attempting to break free.
"Offend the abbot and think you can run? I'll beat you so badly your own mother won't recognize you!"
