Chapter 158 - Questions With More Puzzling Answers!

After Scarlett gave her order, the whole room went silent. No one dared to say a word. One by one, they quietly left the room, closing the door behind them.

Scarlett slowly walked over to the front sofa and sat down, crossing one leg over the other in a very dominant, queen-like posture. She looked completely in control, even though her eyes were covered by her signature purple blindfold.

Avion felt like he had just been caught red-handed doing something embarrassing. He was sure Scarlett had heard all the stupid things he had said earlier—and she definitely had. But the scary part was... Scarlett didn't seem angry. She looked calm, unreadable.

Still, Avion couldn't bring himself to look directly at her, even though her eyes were covered.

"Hahaha… You changed a tiny, broken-down village into a real town in less than two years!" Avion laughed nervously, trying to make things light. "You really did great, very great!"

Scarlett gave him a small smile—but it wasn't a happy one. It was slightly bitter, like she had too much on her mind.

"Stop bootlicking me and let's get to the point," she said sharply. "I have a lot of questions for you."

She leaned forward slightly, voice steady but cold. "I went somewhere last week. A different world. I was summoned back to my old world… and a lot of things happened there."

Before she could continue, Avion suddenly interrupted her with that same goofy smile.

"Ohh, I also went to a different world recently!" he said with excitement. "It was a world full of women—but guess what? Every single one of them had di—"

Bonk.

Lilith gently knocked her knuckles against his head. Her expression didn't change, but her voice was serious. "Let her finish first," she said.

Scarlett's face, usually so confident and teasing, turned a little red. She pointed at Avion with a flustered expression.

"F-Females with d-dicks? How does that even work?! No—That's ridiculous! That's so gay! What the hell goes on in your brain to even visit those kinds of places!?"

She quickly shook her head, trying to get the weird thought out of her mind and regain control of the conversation.

"Stop changing the subject and hear me out properly!" she said firmly.

Then Scarlett began explaining everything that happened in the past week.

She didn't go into too much detail, but she gave them the important parts—how she was summoned to her old world, most importantly, She spoke about Sylvania Yogsothoth, and Arthur, a man with the dangerous ability to go back in time.

After Scarlett finished talking, the room went quiet for a moment. No one spoke.

Then, breaking the silence, Avion asked, "So… where's Arthur now?"

Without saying a word, Scarlett reached into the air and pulled something out of thin space. She placed it on the table in front of them. It looked like a weird mix of a baby zombie and a creepy broken doll. It was small, ugly, and twitched a little on the wooden surface.

"Well, like I said," Scarlett began, her tone casual but with a cold edge, "Irish turned him into this, so he can't kill himself and send us into another endless loop again."

Avion leaned closer, eyes wide in curiosity as he looked at the strange little creature. He nodded slowly, clearly impressed.

"Soul manipulation, huh? That's pretty advanced stuff. Your wife has potential. I might even give her some training," he said, smirking a little.

Scarlett's expression changed in an instant. Her voice turned sharp.

"Don't even think about her. I'll beat your ass."

But Avion, being his usual self, completely ignored her warning. He casually raised his hand and called out to Lilith.

"Go ahead and kill him. Let's not torture the poor guy any longer."

Scarlett quickly started to stand up in panic. "Wait—! He'll just go back in time again!"

But before she could even get off the sofa, it was already over.

Arthur's strange body floated up into the air, It already sliced into many pieces. But instead of blood or guts, his pieces turned into fine dust and vanished like they were never there to begin with.

"S-So fast…" Scarlett whispered, eyes widening behind her purple blindfold.

"Not fast," Avion said, crossing his arms. "She used a real Territory Cut. The kind that breaks through space and time itself. You couldn't see it because of your blindfold… but if you weren't wearing it, you might've seen her because of your eyes."

He stopped suddenly. His eyes widened just slightly as something serious crossed his mind.

"That blindfold…" he thought to himself, narrowing his eyes. "Where did she get it? I thought only Sylvania was interfering with her life… but "him" too? Or… is this all just a coincidence?"

A hundred thoughts rushed through his mind, each one more confusing than the last. But he quickly shook it all off and forced a calm smile onto his face.

"Let's not make it obvious. Act normal… act normal…" he told himself.

He looked at Scarlett again and chuckled lightly. "Well, I guess you still have time. You'll reach that level soon enough."

Then he added, "And don't worry about Arthur going back in time. He's dead for good now. Forever."

Scarlett slowly sat back down, her body relaxing bit by bit. Even though Avion often acted like a pervert or a clown, his words always carried weight. Especially when Lilith—the one who always called him out—stayed quiet and didn't correct him. She simply returned to her seat like nothing needed to be said.

Avion stood up, brushing imaginary dust off his coat.

"Well… I'll be off then," he said, turning to leave.

But Scarlett quickly called out, "Hold on! I haven't even asked a single question yet! Stop changing the subject every time!"

Avion groaned a little and sat back down, rubbing his forehead.

"I guess there's no escape now…" he muttered under his breath.

Scarlett leaned forward slightly and crossed her arms. Her face was serious now.

"So, first question. Who is Sylvania Yogsothoth, anyway?"

Avion rolled his eyes dramatically in a circle and then raised one brow.

"You've probably figured it out already, haven't you?"

"A true dragon?" Scarlett replied.

Avion nodded, grinning. "Exactly. The weakest true dragon… and also the God of time and space. Remember when I told you about the time I escaped hell, and I saw a true dragon fighting the first Hero, Viktor? That was Sylvania."

Scarlett's expression turned annoyed. She slammed her hand down on the table between them.

"Stop lying to me. I remember very clearly—you said he. You said it was a male. But Sylvania sounds like a girly name!"

Avion held up his hands, nodding. "You're right, you're right..."

But before he could say more, Lilith stepped in calmly.

"True dragons can change their gender whenever they want," she said in a flat tone. "She was in her male form when she fought the first Hero. But she prefers being female."

Scarlett stared at her, eyes narrowing behind her purple blindfold.

"Even you got it mixed up? Change gender at will? Aren't I a true dragon too? Why can't I do that, huh?"

Avion scratched the back of his head nervously, avoiding her gaze.

"You're a special case. A very special case… That's all."

Scarlett didn't say anything right away. She just looked at him quietly, as if trying to read the truth through his awkward smile. Then, with a small sigh, she leaned back again.

"Fine. Don't tell me. I'll find out myself."

Lilith coughed lightly and said, "I wasn't lying! Actually… the reason why the first Hero and Sylvania were fighting was because she got rejected by Viktor."

Scarlett blinked, confused. "Wait, what?"

Lilith nodded and continued, her voice a bit more serious now. "Sylvania wanted to marry Viktor. But Viktor was the chosen wielder of the legendary sword, the Sword of Athena. And there's a strict rule with that sword—whoever holds it can never marry more than one wife for their entire life."

Scarlett leaned forward, eyes wide.

"So Sylvania… wanted him to kill his wife?" she asked in disbelief.

Lilith gave a small, hesitant nod. "Yes. She asked him to give up Athena's sword and kill his wife. In return, she promised to become his loyal wife, to love him forever, and to do anything he asked. But Viktor… he didn't agree. He didn't want to give up the sword. And he definitely didn't want to hurt the woman he loved. So, he rejected Sylvania."

There was a short silence before she added, "After that, a terrible fight broke out between them. And in the end… Viktor died. Sylvania killed him."

Lilith stopped there, then coughed again. This time her face turned a little red as she glanced away. "I-I just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't lying… I was only stating facts."

Scarlett didn't say anything right away.

She sat back, eyes narrowing behind her purple blindfold. Her lips parted just a little as if she wanted to say something, but no words came. A strange expression filled her face—surprise, curiosity, and just a little bit of admiration.

"Rejecting a true dragon? This Viktor guy must've been one of those tough male leads from those K-dramas or something..." she thought, tilting her head a little. "If someone wanted to marry me that badly, I would've said yes on the spot."

She folded her arms, thinking hard.

"Of course, I wouldn't have killed my wife either... I mean, come on. That's just wrong. I'd probably give up the sword instead. Waifus are way more important than some shiny weapon."

She nodded seriously to herself, proud of her own moral decision-making.

But then, a sudden spark lit up in her mind.

Her eyes widened slightly. A smirk slowly crept across her face as something from Lilith's story didn't sit right. A certain detail—it just didn't match with what she knew from before.

"Wait a minute…" she said slowly, leaning in, her voice playful and confident.

"What if I say… your whole story is a flat-out lie?"

Lilith froze, blinking in surprise.

Scarlett's smirk grew wider. She looked like someone who had just found the secret answer to a puzzle.

"Or If what Ms. Lilith said is true… then you're not the first Demon King, are you?"
