3RD PERSON'S POV

The fireworks festival was in full swing, with lanterns casting a warm glow and colorful explosions lighting up the night sky. The streets bustled with people dressed in traditional kimonos, but none stood out as much as Robin and Rosalie.

Robin's kimono, a deep icy blue with white accents, shimmered under the lantern light, giving her the appearance of a mythical Yuki Onna. Her hair was pinned up elegantly, and a delicate snowflake charm dangled from a silver hairpin. She glided through the crowd, radiating an aura of cool elegance that left people speechless.

Rosalie, on the other hand, was fire to Robin's ice. Her crimson and gold kimono hugged her figure perfectly, a fox-shaped charm adorning her hairpin. She exuded a playful, fiery energy, her golden locks cascading in waves that framed her sharp, mesmerizing features. Together, they looked like spirits of legend come to grace the mortal world.

Naturally, they drew attention wherever they went. Most people admired them from a respectful distance, too intimidated by their beauty and presence to approach. But there was always that one guy.

"Hey, gorgeous—"

Before the sleazy man could finish, a group of men in sharp suits appeared as if summoned from the shadows. Their slicked-back hair and dragon tattoos made them unmistakably Yakuza. With barely a word, they hauled the man off, bowing deeply to Robin and Rosalie before disappearing just as swiftly as they'd arrived.

Robin glanced at Rosalie, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. "I guess Alexander's friends are useful for something after all."

Rosalie sighed, looking both amused and exasperated. "I still can't believe they thought we were his women when we first met them."

Robin chuckled. "You can't blame them for assuming. But hey, at least we got to teach them a lesson."

The memory of their initial encounter with the Yakuza flashed in their minds. When they first met Alexander's "associates," the men had assumed Robin and Rosalie were Alexander's girlfriends. That assumption earned every single one of them—including their boss—a thorough beating. Alexander hadn't been spared either.

Since then, the Yakuza had treated the couple with utmost respect, almost reverence. It wasn't lost on Robin and Rosalie that they seemed to get even more deference than Alexander, despite his years of loyalty to the group.

"It's because we're prettier," Robin teased, threading her arm through Rosalie's as they strolled toward the festival games.

Rosalie smirked. "Or because you almost took their boss's head off with a single punch."

"Details," Robin said, waving a hand dismissively.

They approached a stall where a vendor was running a ring-toss game. Robin's eyes sparkled at the sight of a stuffed white fox plush sitting on the top shelf. "Oh! I want that one, Rosie!"

"You'll have to win it, love," Rosalie said, her voice soft with affection.

Robin paid for her rings and tossed them one by one with surprising precision. Three landed perfectly around the pegs, and Robin clapped her hands in delight. "I did it! The fox is mine!"

The vendor, a sleazy-looking man with a fake smile, chuckled nervously. "Ah, sorry, miss. That prize is only for special winners."

Robin's face fell, her lower lip jutting out in a pout. "But I won fair and square."

The man shrugged, clearly hoping to milk the situation. "Maybe if you spend a little more money…"

Before Rosalie could step in, a shadow loomed behind the vendor. One of the Yakuza men appeared, his expression dark and dangerous. He leaned in, whispering something that made the vendor turn pale. Moments later, the fox plush was in Robin's hands.

"Thank you!" Robin beamed, holding the plush close.

Rosalie arched an eyebrow. "You manipulated them."

Robin feigned innocence, blinking up at Rosalie. "Who, me? I was just upset. I can't help it if they're protective of me."

Rosalie shook her head but couldn't hide her smile. "You're impossible."

Robin leaned in, her voice dropping to a soft whisper. "You love me for it."

"I do," Rosalie admitted, her cheeks turning pink under Robin's intense gaze.

They continued through the festival, playing more games and winning prizes—sometimes through skill, other times through Robin's strategic pouting. Each time a vendor tried to cheat them, the Yakuza men would appear, ensuring Robin got what she wanted.

At one point, Robin and Rosalie stopped at a food stall to share some taiyaki. Robin took a bite, her lips curling into a satisfied smile. "Mmm, so good!"

Rosalie watched her, captivated. "You've got red bean paste on your lip."

Robin licked her lips slowly, deliberately, her eyes locking with Rosalie's. "Better?"

Rosalie swallowed hard, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're going to kill me, you know that?"

"Only with love," Robin teased, leaning closer.

They were so lost in each other that they didn't notice the growing crowd of admirers staring at them. Even the Yakuza men stationed nearby seemed to give them a respectful distance, pretending not to notice the blatant flirting.

The sound of fireworks exploding overhead finally broke their bubble. Robin tilted her head back to watch, the colors reflecting in her glowing skin. Rosalie couldn't take her eyes off her.

"You're more beautiful than the fireworks," Rosalie said softly.

Robin turned to her, eyes shining. "You always know the right thing to say."

Rosalie reached out, tucking a strand of Robin's hair behind her ear. "I mean it."

Robin leaned into her touch, her voice barely audible. "I know."

The fireworks above continued to paint the night sky with bursts of color as Robin and Rosalie strolled hand in hand, their arms brushing against each other. The Yakuza men shadowed them discreetly, a respectful distance away but always close enough to intervene if needed.

Occasionally, there were still quite a few brave—or perhaps clueless—individuals attempted to approach the two women. Whether it was a drunken admirer or a hopeful suitor, their efforts were quickly thwarted.

"Hey, beautiful—"

Before the man could finish his pickup line, two Yakuza men appeared out of nowhere, each gripping an arm. Without a word, they dragged him into the shadows, leaving Robin and Rosalie undisturbed.

Robin glanced back casually. "Do you think they've got a secret dungeon somewhere? Or do they just throw them into a river?"

Rosalie smirked. "I don't care, as long as they're gone."

Robin chuckled, then gave Rosalie's hand a playful squeeze. "You're so protective of me, Rosie. It's adorable."

"Someone has to be," Rosalie replied, though her lips twitched with amusement. "Otherwise, you'd charm the entire festival into doing your bidding."

"Not the entire festival," Robin said with a mock pout. "Just the vendors who try to cheat me."

Their teasing was interrupted when they reached a shooting game stall. A row of targets lined the back wall, and various prizes dangled enticingly above. Robin's eyes immediately landed on a large stuffed snow leopard.

"Rosie! Look at that!" she exclaimed, pointing at the plush. "I need it."

Rosalie raised an eyebrow. "Do you even have space for it? You've already got half the prizes here."

"I'll make space," Robin insisted, tugging Rosalie toward the stall. "Come on!"

The vendor handed Robin a toy rifle, his smile a little too smug for someone running a carnival game. She took aim, firing at the first target. It missed by an inch.

"That's okay," Robin said, narrowing her eyes. She fired again, hitting the edge of the second target.

The vendor's grin widened. "Better luck next time, miss. But hey, you're still a winner to me."

Robin set the rifle down, her lips curling into a sweet smile that sent chills down Rosalie's spine. "Excuse me for a moment, love."

Rosalie stepped aside, knowing exactly what was coming. Robin turned to glance over her shoulder, catching the eye of one of the Yakuza men. She didn't even have to say a word—just a subtle, exaggerated pout.

Within seconds, two men in suits approached the vendor. One leaned down, whispering something into the man's ear. Whatever was said made the vendor's face turn as pale as a steamed bun. He scrambled to grab the snow leopard plush, handing it over with trembling hands.

Robin accepted it graciously, holding it close to her chest. "Thank you so much," she said sweetly, though her tone was dripping with mischief.

Rosalie shook her head, fighting back a laugh. "You're incorrigible."

Robin sidled up to her, offering the plush. "I won this for you."

Rosalie stared at her, deadpan. "You bullied a man for this."

"I strategically negotiated," Robin corrected, flashing a grin.

Rosalie rolled her eyes but accepted the plush, secretly pleased. "You're impossible."

"And yet, you love me," Robin teased, leaning closer.

"Unfortunately," Rosalie quipped, though her smirk betrayed her true feelings.

It had been a reply Robin had heard from he multiple times, it should have been negative, but it felt warm and fuzzy to her.

As they continued their walk, they passed a group of teenage girls giggling and pointing at them. One of them whispered something, and the others nodded in agreement, their cheeks flushed.

Robin tilted her head toward Rosalie. "Are we famous now?"

Rosalie smirked. "I think they think we're mythical creatures. You, the ice queen. Me, the fox spirit."

"I mean, they're not wrong," Robin said with a shrug. "But they forgot to add drop-dead gorgeous."

Rosalie shook her head, unable to suppress a laugh. "You're shameless."

"But it's possible that it could be because many have already witnessed the Yakuza appearing around us" Robin added.

They stopped at a bridge overlooking the river, where the fireworks reflected on the water's surface. Robin leaned on the railing, her snowflake hairpin catching the light. Rosalie stood beside her, gazing at the reflection of the two of them.

"This is nice," Rosalie said softly.

Robin nodded, her voice equally gentle. "It is."

For a moment, the world seemed to pause. The bustling festival behind them faded away, leaving only the sound of the fireworks and the steady rhythm of their breathing. Robin reached out, intertwining her fingers with Rosalie's.

"I don't think I tell you enough," Robin said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Tell me what?" Rosalie asked, turning to face her.

"How much I love you," Robin replied, her eyes shining with sincerity. "How lucky I am to have you."

Rosalie's breath hitched. She opened her mouth to respond, but the words caught in her throat. Instead, she leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to Robin's lips.

The sound of someone clearing their throat interrupted their moment. They turned to find one of the Yakuza men standing awkwardly a few feet away, clearly trying not to look at them directly.

"What?" Robin asked, her tone sharper than usual.

The man bowed deeply. "Apologies, ma'am. There's... someone causing trouble at a stall."

Robin sighed, shaking her head. "I swear, this festival is testing me."

Rosalie chuckled, taking her hand. "Come on, ice queen. Let's go show them who's boss."

Together, they walked back toward the festival, looking a bit surreal with being beautiful enough to launch wars for a wink from them, and all the prizes and food they were carrying.
