CHAPTER 77 : Wine doing its magic?
Kizer took the delicately wrapped gift box which was small enough to easily fit in his palm. He opened it fast but carefully so as to not damage the gift wrapper in process, only to see a guardian bell inside.
"It ain't that expensive but-"
"I like it." Kizer said almost immediately, not wanting Anastasia to feel any kind of embarrassment because of the gift.
"Really?" Anastasia's eyes lit up, knowing Kizer never lied.
"Hmmm." Kizer nodded.
With that, Anastasia distributed all the gifts and came back to her seat. The dinner was almost done and slowly almost all the members left with both Laurent brothers about to get up while discussing when something unexpected happened.
Just when nobody was paying attention, Anastasia picked up the dew-kissed dessert wine glass, fully filled with aged Château d'Yquem wine that was served to Alexander but he didn't even touch it and gulped it all in one single go.
