The Mindshade Phantasm hissed, its voice echoing directly in their minds.
Maya quickly raised her glowing hands towards the Phantasm, her expression serious. "Did this thing just talk?"
Lucien readied himself to chant, as wind began to swirl around his fists. "The fact that it has the sentience to speak means it's stronger than anything we've faced so far! You two, be vigilant!"
Ayaka raised her staff towards the demon and immediately cast a lightning bolt without warning.
The lightning shot through the demon, but its body parted, creating a hole that allowed the bolt to pass harmlessly. "My lightning just passed through it?" Ayaka exclaimed in disbelief.
Lucien took a fighting stance, "Ayaka, use your Long Sense to locate its core. Maya and I will keep it distracted in the meantime."
