Chapter 313 - Chapter 313: Young Master, Can You Even Do It?

Minato raised a hand to stop Kushina from speaking. His expression was stern as he looked at Naruto.

"Why did you attack him? Just because he stopped you from messing around with an oil barrel on the Hokage Rock? Or is it because you think I don't have time for you and your mother because of Uchiha Raijin?"

"Do you realize that what you did could be considered an act of betrayal?"

Minato questioned Naruto.

"I..."

Naruto froze, staring at Minato, unable to say a word.

"What exactly did he do?"

Shifting his gaze from Naruto, Minato looked at Kushina.

"He attacked Lord Raijin because he wanted to see what Raijin could do."

Kushina answered truthfully.

"Hah..."

Minato rubbed his forehead, exhaling deeply as he spun around on the spot.

"Who do you think you are? And who do you think he is?"

Minato let out a long breath, looking at Naruto in disbelief.

"Come on, tell me your reason."

Minato looked at Naruto as he spoke.

Even if that person wasn't Uchiha Raijin—even if he were just an ordinary Genin—Naruto's actions could have gotten him taken away by the Konoha Police Force.

This Naruto wasn't the same as the one from the original timeline.

In the original timeline, Naruto was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and Sarutobi Hiruzen's most important strategic asset.

As long as Naruto didn't go too far, no one would do anything to him.

But now… things were different. Really different.

What shocked Namikaze Minato the most was—why did Naruto even think like this? Why would he use Rasengan against a fellow villager?

"I..."

Naruto pressed his lips together, unable to say a word.

Thinking about it now… it seemed like he didn't really have a solid reason.

"I know—I barely have time to be with you and your mother. As a father and a husband, I've been lacking."

Minato pressed his lips tightly and continued speaking to Naruto.

"But right now, Konoha may look peaceful and prosperous, but both inside and outside, the village is facing major challenges.

There are things that must be done. If I don't do them, someone else will have to. And if someone else does it, they'll need a long time to adjust.

During that time, the village's government would be thrown into chaos, forcing the Hokage and Raijin to step in.

And right now, Raijin is the most important person in the village—the only one who can counterbalance Uchiha Madara. He's been training nonstop for thirteen years! Thirteen years without stepping outside his home.

Yesterday was the first time he went out in all that time, and he was attacked twice!

One of those attacks was from a ninja of our own village! The village he protects! The ninjas he protects! Tell me, what do you think he'd feel about that?!"

Minato grew more and more agitated, his anger overwhelming his rationality.

He genuinely wanted to crack open Naruto's head and see what was inside.

"Even if you didn't know all that, why did you attack a fellow villager? A village exists because people with the same goals and beliefs come together.

What you did—isn't that the same as a rogue ninja?!"

"Alright, calm down for a moment."

Kushina stood up, pulled Minato aside, and looked at Naruto.

"Do you understand what you did wrong?"

She crouched down, meeting Naruto's eyes as she asked him.

"He's your teacher! And you actually thought the best way to learn from him was to attack him directly?! What were you thinking? The last guy who did that got his whole village wiped out!"

Before Naruto could say anything, Minato couldn't hold back and started shouting again.

"Shut up!"

Kushina suddenly turned and glared at Namikaze Minato.

Minato pressed his lips together, turned away, and looked out the door.

"I know I was wrong."

Naruto nodded as he answered Kushina.

"And what exactly was wrong?"

Kushina nodded and kept questioning him.

"I shouldn't have attacked a fellow ninja from the village."

Naruto looked at Kushina as he answered.

"And?"

Kushina kept pressing.

"I shouldn't have attacked my teacher."

Naruto continued.

Honestly, at first, he just hadn't thought this was a big deal…

"...So what should you do now?"

Kushina asked him again.

"H-How do I fix it?"

Naruto was stunned for a moment and looked at Kushina in confusion.

"No matter what the reason was, it already happened. The most important thing now isn't blaming your past self but figuring out how to fix it."

Kushina raised a finger as she spoke.

"Now, go prepare some gifts and come with me to apologize, okay?"

After saying that, Kushina gave Naruto a solution.

"Will he... forgive me?"

Naruto hesitated for a moment and asked Kushina.

To be honest, he felt like Uchiha Raijin already found him annoying.

And now, things had turned out like this.

Did he really have to take this teacher?

"Whether he forgives you or not is up to him. But whether you apologize or not is up to you. The most basic thing we should do is take responsibility for our own actions, right?"

Kushina chuckled and looked at Naruto.

"Okay."

Naruto nodded.

"Alright, go on then."

Kushina patted Naruto's shoulder and watched as he left.

As she stood up, she turned to Namikaze Minato and said,

"This isn't entirely Naruto's fault. As his parents, we have some responsibility too.

As his mother, I've spoiled him too much. That's my mistake."

"As his father, I haven't spent enough time with him or given him enough attention. That's my fault too."

Minato nodded.

Not long after, Naruto returned with some gifts.

"Naruto, before we go, I need to make one thing very clear."

Seeing him, Kushina spoke seriously.

Naruto blinked, waiting for her to continue.

"Becoming Raijin's disciple is a rare opportunity."

Kushina looked at him.

"No one in Konoha understands certain jutsu better than him. And some jutsu can only be learned if you become his student. Do you understand?"

"But I don't think he really wants to take me as his student."

Naruto frowned, feeling a little troubled.

Compared to the Naruto from the original timeline, this version of Naruto had grown up in a completely different environment. Aside from their names, they had almost nothing in common.

"You interrupted his training plans, so of course, he's impatient with you. If you're not interested in learning stronger ninjutsu, I'll just tell Raijin to forget about the apprenticeship."

Minato turned to Naruto.

If Naruto was willing to go, the path was already set for him.

If he wasn't, Minato wouldn't force him.

Otherwise, Naruto might end up learning nothing and just causing trouble.

"So, tell me your decision. Do you want to learn ninjutsu from him?"

Kushina asked seriously.

"He's not even teaching me."

Naruto shook his head.

"You attacked him with Rasengan. Why would he teach you ninjutsu? So you can learn stronger techniques and attack him again?"

Minato looked at Naruto and asked calmly.

"I didn't attack him! I just asked how he absorbed my Rasengan with that jutsu."

Naruto frowned and explained anxiously.

"What did Raijin say?"

Kushina asked curiously.

"He said if I wanted to know, I should defeat him or Otsutsuki Toneri, then take their eyes and put them in myself…"

Naruto's face twitched as he repeated Raijin's words.

"See? He doesn't want to teach me at all! What do eyes have to do with ninjutsu? Even Sharingan and Byakugan can't do that!"

"Hmm… is it possible…"

Minato pursed his lips and looked at Naruto.

"That Raijin's ability comes from the Tenseigan—the final form of the Byakugan?"

"Huh?"

Naruto froze, staring at Minato in shock.

"Ah!"

Minato nodded, confirming it once again.

"But isn't he an Uchiha?"

Naruto blinked in confusion.

"There's a golden Tenseigan on the moon, formed from countless Byakugan. Raijin's Tenseigan comes from there."

Hearing this, Namikaze Minato sighed but still explained it to Naruto.

He hadn't told Naruto before because it wouldn't have made a difference.

But now, it was time to explain things properly—otherwise, misunderstandings could happen.

"So, do you want to be his student?"

Kushina looked at Naruto and asked.

"I do."

Naruto nodded in agreement.

At first, he wasn't too interested.

But now, he was starting to feel like it might not be so bad.

Because Naruto just realized that Uchiha Raijin seemed really strong.

"Heh… He didn't even refuse to teach you, and here you are hesitating."

Namikaze Minato glanced at Naruto, then turned and walked toward Raijin's house.

…

"So, are you going to be that kid's teacher or not? I think he's pretty interesting."

In Raijin's courtyard, Madara leaned back in his chair, eyeing Raijin, who was calmly sipping his tea.

As Madara spoke, Raijin's fingers twitched slightly, and he looked up at Uchiha Madara with an exasperated expression.

"The Rasengan didn't even hit you, and yet you find him interesting?"

"What's the matter? The great Uchiha Raijin, the Thunder Sword Saint of Konoha, got scared of a Rasengan?"

Madara smirked as he looked at Raijin.

Whether Naruto was interesting or not…

That wasn't the main point.

The real question was—did Raijin end up making a fool of himself?

That was the only thing Madara cared about.

Raijin gave Madara a speechless look.

This guy… When did his personality get this nasty?

If someone didn't know better, they'd think Uchiha Suisei had used a transformation jutsu to take his place.

"Yeah, I was scared to death. Madara-senpai, you better protect me."

Raijin nodded and said to Uchiha Madara.

"Of course, of course. Next time that brat comes at you with a Rasengan, just hide in my Susanoo."

Madara nodded seriously, acting like he had everything under control.

"Heh…"

Raijin shot him a disdainful glance.

If fate hadn't taken a different turn, you'd have seen a Lava Rasengan slice right through the God Tree by now.

Raijin's expression suddenly changed, and in an instant, he appeared right next to Madara.

Madara was momentarily stunned, but he didn't resist. He let Raijin grab his arm, and the next second, the two of them vanished from where they stood.

…

"Young master, you good?"

Land of Thunder, Konohagakure Trade Association.

Raijin and Madara appeared silently in midair.

Seeing Uchiha Shin trapped in the middle of four mysterious figures wearing black robes and masks, struggling to hold his ground, Raijin chuckled and teased him.

"Teacher, help me!"

Realizing his unreliable father wasn't going to step in, Uchiha Shin didn't even bother responding to Uchiha Raijin and instead called out to Uchiha Madara.

Hearing this, a faint smile appeared at the corner of Madara's lips. His gaze sharpened, and four invisible shadows suddenly materialized beside the masked figures, launching an ambush.

Limbo: Border Jail!

"Phew!"

Seeing this, Uchiha Shin let out a long sigh of relief and used the Body Flicker Technique to escape the encirclement, appearing between Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Raijin.

"That was tough."

"Not bad at all!"

Uchiha Madara patted Shin's shoulder, smiling.

As he spoke, a transparent barrier enveloped the entire area.

Sage Art: Sealed Time Marking!

This was a technique developed by Senju Tobirama based on Sage Mode's properties—something Uchiha Madara could never hope to master in his lifetime.

"One look and you can tell it's a group set up by Jigen. Their abilities are almost identical."

Raijin stood in midair with his hands behind his back, commenting freely on the four opponents.

"Yeah, definitely Jigen's style."

Madara chuckled and shook his head but made no move to attack.

Against enemies of this level, Limbo: Border Jail was more than enough to handle them.

…

*Knock, knock, knock.*

Someone knocked on Raijin's door.

Tsunade walked over and opened it, revealing Kushina and Namikaze Minato.

"What's this about?"

Tsunade glanced at Naruto before looking at Namikaze Minato.

"It's about what happened earlier with Naruto. I wanted to apologize to Lord Raijin in person."

Minato explained.

"Come inside. Raijin and Madara just left—they probably went to deal with a ninja who was attacked outside."

Tsunade nodded and turned toward the living room.
