Until Grandpa returned and brought back a lot of candy, she did not smile.
The next day, on the way to school, before she even reached the school gate, a few boys from her class cornered her.
"Lan Xin Ai, hand over your lunch money."
The boy who spoke was very fat, everybody called him Big Fatty.
"I don't have any." The little girl shook her head, silently pulling her backpack backward.
"No? Let me see."
Big Fatty snatched the little girl's backpack, turned around, and pushed her onto the ground, the sharp stones scraping her small hands.
The pain almost brought tears to the little girl's eyes, but she didn't cry out.
"Poor ghost, just one Yuan."
Big Fatty found one Yuan, stuffed the coin into his own pocket, spilled all her textbooks and pencil case from her backpack onto the ground, and stepped on them for a while before walking away arrogantly.
