Elias makes his way down the stairs. My nerves threaten to fail as he gets closer.
Trying to calm my racing heart, I can hear Celine's voice screaming in my head. She tried to warn me, but I wouldn't listen.

Kysilius says nothing, he sits crossed hand, listening to us.
"He doesn't have to, he just has to believe I'm not against him."
"No, this is out of the question, you're not—"
"You have to trust me Celine, I know what I'm doing."
"No you don't, you've lost it because of what has happened to Alpha."
"Maybe I have!" I shout, and silence envelopes us.
