"We have to go," Kysilius says, pulling me onto my feet.
He doesn't let go of me as he makes his way out of the burning room. Some of his wolves follow but the vast majority of them stay behind, an attempt to hold off Elias' wolves. A suicide mission.
My heart sinks at the thought of their sacrifice, but I can't let myself spiral, not now.
I keep pace, making sure to not inconvenience Kysilius as he sprints with Darius on his shoulder. My gaze never leaves Darius for even a moment as I don't need to see where I'm going with Kysilius' guidance.
Looking at Darius, my soul shatters bit by bit. His face is covered in bruises and purple spots, there's both fresh and dried blood on every corner and his checks are sunken.
This sight fills me with an unimaginable amount of pain that stirs a sea of rage within me.
'Elias will pay for this.' I say, wishing I could heal Darius this moment. But we can't stop.
