The first one to notice something was a guard posted at the east.
"What's that sound?" the man asked, looking around in confusion.
He quickly get his answer when he looked East, though when he learned of the origin of the sound, he wished he did not.
"Monster!" he yelled, before being the first one to be killed.
The yelling warned the others of the incoming monsters, allowing them to raise their weapon. That, however, was not enough as the ferocity of the monsters overwhelmed the other guards, leading to a quick slaughter.

The two A-rankers left behind raised their heads at the same time, their eyes on the direction of screaming.
The first thing they thought, when they laid their eyes on the monsters was, how terrifying they looked.
The second one being, they needed to move quickly, or they will all die.
"Shield!/Barrier!"
They yelled two different things, but with nearly the same outcome.
